I suppose the subtitle should be: Is Piczo.com Satan? I've recently put up a few quizzes which have the added pay-off of link backs in the form of buttons. Checking my logs I see loads of these buttons are on sites like the following: http://www.lilmisspiggy01.piczo.com/ http://xsexyhannahx.piczo.com/ These are fairly typical of some of the dreck I've seen out there - load and play pop videos, massive pictures, unreadable fonts etc. MSN Spaces is full of 'em as well. Basically, is it wise to give the powers to youngsters, or should they be made to wait until they've past their GCSE's (but preferably their O'Levels)
I personally think it's cool and a part of them expressing themselves growing up. Maybe there should be a "Teen content warning" on some of those though
Ah - ha - you've proved me point. Should start a new thread really. 'When Websites Attack 5 - The Piczo Widepages'
Well i reckon they should be allowed to, everyone needs to start somewhere, websites give teens an outreach a way to put there mark on the internet, show off to mates etc. And if anyone answers no to this question then i guess id better pack up my sites, since im still just a teen after all.
I would have posted sooner but that Miss Piggy site actually froze my computer. I had to do a reboot. Those are definately some of the worst sites but unfortunately it isn't only teens breaking all the taste rules. If I was only 15 again I would be starting some real sites and making some dough. Enough so by the time I was 21 I could work from home for the rest of my life. Seeing as how you don't have to worry about a mortgage, bills, etc its the perfect time. What do they say? Youth is wasted on the Young
I spun this thread off: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=22680 Back to the original topic, there are a lot worse things teenagers can be up to than bad HTML
I hope Piczo is hosting all them pop videos which freeze the browsers and crash systems - just to see their bandwidth bills
I definately think teenagers should be allowed to make websites. Why not?? They have as much right as anyone else to express themselves. Making websites, no matter show shitty and L33t they are, probably keep a few kid's off the streets causing trouble, doing drugs ect. coz sometimes there's very little else to do. They learn abit about making a website, html ect. which might be handy for them to know a bit further down the line, and at the end of the day they aren't causing anyone any harm. If you don't wanna look at them, don't click. Simple.
yep and im still a teen so am doing well for myself, i make a nice sum of money from my website and all
They should just outlaw "Comic Sans" teen or not and this whole problem will go away That font started it all
I recently saw a Security Firm Van - they had used Comic Sans for the logo. Needless to say, I didn't feel very secure...
