Did any body used hostmonster.com planning to buy web space over here,if any body had any good or bad experience please tell me.before using i want to know.if you know any more hosting sites which is best please tell me.
Hostgator is the best IMO. I've 3 accounts over there and I'm very satisfied with them,I've some hostgator coupons for you.
I always checked out if the hosting plan has a SLA, meaning if the website is down I can compensate in $$$. Else if you looking for something cheap, go Dreamhost*. * referral url.
I'm using WicksHosting for the past 3 months. The service is good . The only think I don't like there is that they are providing Plesk Control Panel .
Saved me. www.brightdawn.net saved my business from the worst host ever a compnay called rabbit internet. Chris at bright dawn will always work his hardest to sort you out. Jay
Don't worry about SLA's - by the time you get your 5 bucks back your site will be in the crapper. In general expect to pay a premium for decent service and always do your homework. Most of the shared hosting services live with a few common colocation centers. If they're living somewhere like CIHost that's bad. If they live in a data center like Equinix, well, now we're talking. Of course another big mistake people make is thinking their little sites need 100% uptime. If I had to do it all over again I'd moved my $15/month personal site which has about 50 hits a month to the cheapest provider I could find. If folks can't see pictures of my Italy vacation today it's not really a mission-critical event.
- Overselling...just like dreamhost and other crap hosts. - Prices aren't clearly listed on the site - No company info listed on the site - Terms and conditions not clearly provided on the site (before signing up) So stay away from them.
HostMonster just a sub of BlueHost. I'd recommend HostGator, you won't regret later! Here are some Genuine HostGator Reviews by DP users if you're interested.
SoftLayer are awesome for dedicated servers, rea-sellers ect.. I would choose HostGator. - Ben AnotherLaugh.com
Dreamhost is a decent host for the price. Check my sig. My site was on the homepage of Digg once and they were nice enough to move it to another server to handle the load at no charge!
Bluehost is the best. Thyey have live support and are actually helpful. @She2max I don't find Servage very good, esp their support answer time and database server.
We do hosting. Fair reasonable and fast! We've been in business 10 years now, own our own facility and host several DP member sites. Check us out at hostdrive.com. We offer 20% DP member discount on all our plans, and can many teams meet or beat comparable services and pricing.
