ASP Code outdated?

    Hello,

    I noticed my adnetwork ads are making some of my websites run very slow. I just noticed this a few hours ago. I am trying to figure out if other people are having this problem or perhaps my ASP code is outdated? If someone could let me know where the newest ASP code is, i would greatly appreciate it. Also, if anyone else is having these problems I would love to know.

    Thanks a lot!

    Thanks a lot for your fast response. Unfortunately were still using regular .ASP on all of our domains, is there an updated version for that?

    Thanks again!

    I had the same problem. The code slowed down my websites to around a 20 second load time. It happened all of the sudden and it took me a while to figure out it was the Co-op advertising code. I thought it was my dedicated server so I was yelling at them, they thought it was my DNS so I was yelling at them, and finally I managed to figure out it was this code.

    For some reason it seems to work on my test server at home without slowing the load time down much if at all, but when I try putting it on my dedicated server, it doesnt work.

    There are some threads that talk about imbeding the PHP version into the ASP but I havent gotten that to work. However I think that may be due to a bad install of PHP, so once I get that installed correctly I am going to give that another shot.

    I hope that an easy ASP solution comes because I have about 10,000 of weight I am missing out on right now. Why did they have to change things? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

    I am having the same problem. One of my sites is taking up to 20 sec to load, and it took me a while to figure out it was the co-op asp code.

    The funny thing is, some other sites with the same code run fine.

    Does anyone know anything further about this problem?

    Anyone happen to know how we can fix this? I took off all the COOP ads on my site, would love to put them back up but an additional 20 second load time to every page of my website is not good at all.

    Thanks

    Well my ASP sites seem to be loading quick again. I switched out the ad_network.asp file with the one I found at:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showt...4&page=2&pp=10 that Stupot had posted the ad_network.asp file. At first it worked right away, then it seemed to slow down again, but now it seems to be working pretty good.

    This is an older version I reverted to. All others were bring my sites to their knee's. This one is working fine for me.

    include the following where you want the ads to be displayed:
    <!--#INCLUDE FILE="ad_network.asp" -->
    <%
    ads = ad_network
    response.write ads(0) & " - "
    response.write ads(1) & " - "
    response.write ads(2) & " - "
    response.write ads(3) & " - "
    response.write ads(4)
    %>
    Code (markup):
