How to increase low traffic w/o loosing CTR/CR?

    hi

    I have a few ads that convert around 20% %25 at $5+ revenue. But my bids are kinda low and the traffic is low as I have only 40 clicks so far this month on the landing page out of 100 clicks from google. my main question regarding this is how to get more traffic while maintaining these conversion rates? I always found that when the traffic goes up, conversion goes down no matter what. Should I raise my bids or what? I know I should try to raise my ctr as my overall ctr is like 1.2% on the google [ranging between %4-%0.5.] and ~50% on the landing page from google.. Any other suggestions?

    A good CR and ROI is nice, but you want to go for as much total profits as possible... It depends on your current average ad-position, but you can always try some different positions by either increasing or decreasing your max CPC. Just let it run for a while and compare the results after some time...

    you can also use the ad positioning feature to control ad position.

    Are you just using Adwords? One way to keep kept costs down is to use Miva and Yahoo. One of the most important factors to consider is the audience that use these search engines and the audience that you are after. But as mentioned using other search engines has driven a lot of traffic much cheaper than Google for me in the past and kept good CTR, ROI.

    Definitely expand into overture and msn adcenter. But just because it worked in adwords doesnt' mean it will work on those other two, (which is very odd). Also, do not touch the adgroup that is working, create a new one. That way you do not interfere with it's ROI. IT also means you need to come up with new keywords to test though.

    thanks all:eek: . I have a miva account for about 3 years but never used it because of the payment system. I'll re check it again..I have a msn account but its traffic is even lower than google..I'll check it again too though. Also I have a 1mbit connection but msn adcenter is still realllllyyyy slow to load compared to google. it is annoying:rolleyes:


    I also have one more question. I have an ad which got some keywords disabled because of low ctr. I tweaked the ads around a bit and they start getting good ctr. will those disabled keywords activate with the old bids by themselves or do I have to raise the cpc anyway in order to activate them?
