Hannity is a marketer plain and simple. He dropped out of college and found a niche. Like all good marketers, everything he does sells to his base. He makes a lot of money doing it.

In 2006, polarizing sells. Actually being intellectual and balanced doesn't. It's all about infotainment and continued self indoctrination.

As to someone staying home, that's just an ignorant statement. Of course, he's joking and playing to his base. Every U.S. citizen should vote.

As a footnote, I have just read this thread thoroughly and I can clearly see that GTech is actually losing this one thanks to some very good posts by members trying to wake him up from his mainline media induced slumber. :D

Keep up the good work guys. If we can convince at least 1 person that we're all being fooled then it's worth the time and effort. :)

I used to be like Mia and GTech and lorien1973, then I did a lot of studying and realised that we are all being taken for mugs.

People need to wake up to the bullshit before it's too late.

    Bush is already panicking:
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/6073504.stm

3 of the most dangerous people in the world (especially Cheney) all sat around a table talking to Generals about Iraq. The thought of that scares the absolute shit out of me. Iraq has been an absolute disaster and it will only get worse.

Origins of the name 'Al-Qaeda', and its real Arabic connotations prove that every time the Bush administration, Fox News, or any individual citing terrorism by 'Al-Qaeda', as a mandate for war and domestic authoritarianism, they're only propagating the myth that such a group ever existed.

An organization by the name of 'Al-Qaeda' does not exist and has never existed outside a falsely coined collective term for loose-knit terror cells, of which the majority are guided by the Mossad, Pakistani ISI, the Saudis, MI6 and the CIA.

So-called international terrorism is an elusive phantom that combines the use of terror by state and non-state political structures as a means to attain their political objectives. This accomplished through intimidation of the people, psychological and social destabilization, the elimination of resistance from influential organizations and the creation of appropriate conditions for the manipulation of a country's policies and the behavior of its people.

Those organizers of the nine eleven attacks were in fact the main political and business circles interested in destabilizing the world order and who also had the means necessary to finance the operation. Further, only secret services and their management have the means to plan, organize and conduct such a large operation.

In general, secret services are directly responsible for creating, financing and controlling extremist organizations. Without support from these secret services, those covert organizations cannot exist, let alone carry out operations of such magnitude inside countries so well protected as the United States. Planning and carrying out a complex operation on the scale of nine eleven is beyond the capacity of Osama bin Forgotten's 'Al-Qaeda.'

The nine eleven operation modified the course of events in the world towards the direction decided by the transnational mafias and international oligarchs; that is, those who hope to control the planet's natural resources, the world's access to information and the financial centers. It also favored the US economic and political elite who also seek world dominance and unending war for profit and mayhem.

If the shoe fits... Seriously though, I do not think you are an idiot. Your just misguided, lost and ignorant. I don't mean that in a bad way. Try thinking for yourself instead of being a follower. You'd be surprised how liberating it is.

Is that the same studying that led you to falsely believe that 9/11 is a conspiracy; that the NK material for the nuke tests came from reactors that weren't completed? Is that the studying you did? If so, I think I'm pretty content to be unlike you ;)

    "Data dredging"

Damn, and here I used to call it "copy / paste" with a hint of BOLD... That is when Gworld would always do it.

Like I said previously. Thinking for yourself is quite liberating.

The Hannity statement is the most moronic anti-American statement possible.

Imagine the response here if Al Franken had said "Conservatives, do us a favor don't vote".

Hannity's statement is the essence of a dictatorship.

This is such a ridiculous argument. Both sides of the ideological spectrum are replete with non-thinking automatons who punch entire tickets "Dem" or "Rep." Ascribing wholesale ignorance to either party, or to either side of the political aisle, only betrays the same.

We either live in a democracy, protecting the right of all citizens to vote, or we do not. Irritating though it may be, limiting the vote to folks from one's personal comfort zone is about as idiotic a rant as I've yet heard.

My post suggested that all uninformed and disinterested should not vote. All means all...republicans, democrats, greens, libertarians, all political leanings. They have the right but they shouldn't bother to vote if they have no interest in it.

I even think illegal aliens from Scotland, Ireland and Spain (my heritage) should not vote. :D

I'm sorry, I misread your sole attention on "lefties" as sole attention on "lefties.":D

So long as you acknowledge that there are ignorant morons who go to the polls on both sides of the aisle, and both parties spend bucketloads to ensure these ignorant morons go to the polls, we have no issue. Again, the beauty of the deal is that ignorant morons are free to vote because they like no more than to feel the click of the key. There is not one of us that has the damn right to deny that idiocy, and there are better battles to wage - are there not?
