If your file was/is still working either you were probably one of the lucky few who had a file recovered or s102 has gone back offline (not unlikely as s102 has been offline more than it has been online since August). I just had a couple more files I've uploaded assigned s102 and it is quite dead. Most disappointing that FileSonic is still allowing new uploads to be routed to offline servers after all this time.

You will only receive credit for one download per day (at most, the rule is global) for each premium user downloading your files regardless of the amount of downloads.

That your friend is downloading from the same IP as you is another situation. It is likely that any download from this location will appear to be from you and will not be counted since the system assumes you are downloading your own file.

 

Yes, the files reported to me by downloaders from the S102 server are ok. I do not know how the other files on the same server.

 

Update: Great day for stats for me. 1st time in a long time I wish I was on PPS but oh well I may have to switch it up if sales continue this high.

Also RU seems to only be working for FS to FS. DF to FS has been pending for a few hours now.

Also web upload early this morning would to go 100% and not complete. Haven't tried again in like 4 hours so maybe it is fixed.

FTP seems to be working fine however.

 

yup same problem here, stat at 0 yet the file is being downloaded (2 or 3 days old file). Probably will start counting in a day or two but the previous downloads will be lost. QQ

Where you look: in "Statistics-Counted Downloads " or in "File Manager-Downloads"?

 

I have the same problem, 0 download for newly uploaded files and no download added for old files when I look in file manager.
And yes Im sure they have been download about 50-100 times at least (received thanks on forum), plus I have one file showing no download but sold 1 premium, so there is definitly counted donwload problem.

Another question, I own a website and would like to add my domain but Im stuck at the step number 3:
Put key file into the root directory of your domain, so it may be downloaded as "http://www.mydomain.com/sharingmatrix_key_xxxxxxxx.txt"

Can anyone explain me how to put that key ?

 

Just upload the key file they provide you to the root directory of your site

 

And how do you do that ? Im using blogspot.com for my website

 

no way of adding your blog, you should have meta tag given by the filehost

 

Look in Counted Downloads(open link with countries download).Here is correct statistics.

 

Me too. One of my files even has 3 premium sales and 0 downloads. I've PM'd Hish. Should get a reply after the weekend.

I've PM'd Hish about this too. If they add a meta tag verification system then i'll be very happy!

Can't do that on pay-per-sale. We can't see the number of downloads in the filemanager.

 

Not that I'm saying the displayed stats are correct (past experience proves it foolish for anyone to make such a statement apart from FSn staff), but premium sales alone would not demonstrate if the displayed stats are correct or not. FSn only counts 1 download per day per premium member globally. If the premium member had another FSn file queued for download which completed before yours did, that file would be credited not yours.

Made the request as well and would be quite happy also. As it is right now, I'm limited to pushing HotFile on my blog although the bulk of my links are FileSonic.

 

LOL I do understand that. What I should have said was that some of my files that don't even sell premiums have hundreds of downloads (ones that were posted prior to the filemanager problem). The ones that have sold premiums usually get more free downloads. Every file I've posted since the around 15th has far less downloads than others. I get a reasonable amount of traffic to my blog too so there must be something wrong.

As for the meta tag verification system I mentioned to Hish that you wanted this implemented too. Figured your suggestions carried more weight than mine.

 

On the NEWS section of the Filesonic homepage:

I cannot argue with your results. I have seen the same drop personally and all those I work with have reported the same decrease. Again, I'm not going to rule out a bug, but it seems to me that FileSonic is simply counting fewer downloads. I've ran a few tests the past couple of weeks with mirrors comparing FSn counts to competing hosts and was frankly a little surprised by the disparity I saw, although the results reveled as much about downloader preference as they did counting. Still, I stand behind the recommendation that FileSonic is the best filehost for those on PPS and would even recommend it for 95% of those on PPD even if they can earn more with other hosts in the short term as the potential is there for them to switch to PPS in the future and significantly increase their earnings.

I don't think so. I just have a big mouth. lol
