FTP totally down, this is ridiculous

 

As much as i wanted filesonic to work i agree with smitherly..

 

Are you guys sure there are problems with downloaders? because I post files on my site and I get as many downloads as with other filehosts and no one even complains.. I get 1K sometimes even 2K

 

i do not see any real problems with downloads. not now.

Ru got some errors but still much better than before

 

My normal download numbers are 2k a day but since all these issues started i just scrapped 1k downloads today.

 

Why today i got 0$ from my referrals??

0 for me as well. But i don't usually sell much, so I am not sure if it's a bug or just me

 

There are entire servers offline. Try dl'ing from server 100. Then there are the folk who are in the UK and other unfortunate geographic areas.

Try this its just a rar with a txt in ,very small but whoever can download you are luckier than me,because i cant download anything only with a proxy which does not solve the problem,and if you do succeed in downloading,where are you located.Me im in the UK lucky me.

Also the file you provided 502 Bad Gateway,does not surprise me and thats with a proxy,so things are worse than thought either servers are overloading or failing or maybe something worse.

 

Ill grant there are people who can download because i do have stats but they are very low about 1/5 of usual and i have been getting complaints and requests of people why my downloads cant be downloaded.If you look around alot of the internet you will see complaints after complaints,so they are not false claims either.I just hope filesonic are aware of it and are doing something becuase people get impatient very quicky and will turn to other filehosters very soon.

i think people from uk has the same problem with fileserve, they cant download anything

I can download perfectly fine from UK from fileserve,free or premium and only have a problem with filesonic,every other hoster is fine.The posts mentions transparent proxies and IWF (Internet Watch Foundation)which i dont think filesonic is on although hotfile is put on there from time to time and have never had one single problem with downloading from them,only when using jdownloader.Also things where working fine last wednesday,so its between then and now that something has gone wrong on filesonics end or some other complication,which i would like to know from filesonic IT,i await a reply.

 

After reading the above post by Maverick had a quick run round google and the forum for my ISP.
It appears that Sharingmatrix went on the IWF hitlist at the end of July although there is no mention of Filesonic being on it.
If Filesonic are on it then it may go some way to explaining the download problems being encountered her in the UK.
I think (although am not sure) that some ISP's from other parts of the world also use this list. I just read on another forum that US users are now having problems downloading.
Not all UK ISP's seem to be subscribed to it (although I thought they were obliged by law - so our leaders can keep us all safe) or may not update it on a daily basis (perhaps why the problem seems to be getting worse as time goes on)
When (if) they were put on the list they would have received an email from the IWF detailing what actions they would need to take to be removed.
Ignoring it and trying to find a workaround ain't gonna work as it's sent out everyday.
Also adding exceptions to the proxied IP that Filesonic sees isn't going to help either as these are changed routinely by ISP's (mine does it every 35 hours).

Perhaps the Filesonic peeps can check there emails to see if they missed one from the IWF.
May be barking completely up the wrong tree but then again seems to fit the pattern of disruption regarding downloads.

Just found out that they probably didn't receive an email because....

Also depending where Filesonic's servers are or where you are downloading from it may be "INHOPE" who are tasked with deciding which websites you can access.
