I didn't "poison" anything. And here's an interesting little tid-bit: earlier you mentioned an "Abu Abdullah Muhammad al-Shamery" as a "grand mufti". The funny thing about this claim is that searching in Google, I find no Islamic websites mentioning this person as an authority at all. The only sites that mention this name are the rabid, Islamophobic websites which quote word-for-word that very citation you just picked up, along with other duplicated content lifted from (I believe this assumption to be correct) that very same source.

I think this little demonstration just goes to show that you simply search things on anti-Islam websites and pick them up if they suit you fine, hmmm?

I have found out from an Arab-Muslim sister that I am in contact with that the whole "fatwa" by the so-called "Grand Mufti Abu Abdullah Muhammad al-Shemary" is a fabrication and this particular polemic is no longer used by even the Christians. I will try to get more info on this so that I can post this for the benefit of the Muslims here who may come into contact with this polemic in the future.

There is a comparison chart of the age of consent according to the laws of various nations in the world. For example, did you know that the age of consent for Argentina is as low as twelve years old? So even though one particular age of consent may be a "crime" in Malaysia, it is not so in Argentina or any other country where they have lowered the age of consent significantly.

And here's another interesting info I've gleaned from the chart. In the state of New Mexico, United States, apparently it is A-OK to get married at thirteen years old, even though you have been bitching about not getting married until at least eighteen. Shouldn't you be more concerned as to why your own country's state is "barbaric" enough to still allow 13 year olds to get married without this being repealed?

A 13 year old having sex with a 12 year old in New Mexico is Felony Child Molestation under any circumstances. A 13 year old having sex with a 13 year old in New Mexico is a Felony if said 13 year old is in a position of authority over the other 13 year old.
