Hi friends I just searched for my sites on google and instead of comming up with the site infor it actually comes up with results of pages which has got my site name on them. Ising this weird? try it and see if its the same for you or am i still hungover from last night? I guess some update going on Any input on this would be much appreciated.
I'm seeing the same. No idea why though, and I don't think it's showing all the sites which mention mine. Kind of like the 'link' command, it's being selective.
I think there is some shuffling around of BL counts - my guess is that they are changing criteria for the BLs that are visible via the Link: command.
But last time when there was a back link update it wasent like this, could there be a new PR update going on? all the pr tools behaving like they are drunk aswell any one friends with uncle google who can find out what is going on?
I think the OP was not talking about backlinks. He was pointing out that if you search on www. domainname.com you used to see a few options such as 'see pages from this site', 'see links to this site' etc and now you see a list of completely different sites that happen to contain the domain name. That is, searching on a domain name is now treated exactly the same as any other text search. This is a change in googles reporting.
Hmmm... searching on www domain tld/filename.html brings up the page and description, but add http:// and it does not for some pages... I noted a few days ago that there are some changes to allinurl: searches - allinurl:www domain tld, I am not seeing the usual sites with query strings containing the domain. I am seeing some with the domain in the url, as long as it is not in a query string. I have been meaning to delve into it further... Anybody see the same?
Well this update just stinks...there is no way to click on a link they don't have indexed and you all the options are gone. What the heck are they doing?
