Rollover images

I want to do a site with 3 section , and I want to appear on the front page and the user should select what he wants.

I made an image so I can explain what I want.I tried image rollover but , when it's mouse over the second image keeps the first image's dimensions.How can I do this ?

You'd need to use JavaScript for something like this.

HTML/CSS won't be enough to do it.

 

Have any link or something I might use ?
