Selling Ecommerce site -- earnt 18,000 in One Month.

Okay, up for sale today is an ecommerce site. It has only been online for two months, but in its first month, it had a gross revenue of a little over $18,000.

I've been running analytics on it for the last ~month or so, but unfortunately it's actually a little inaccurate when working with OSCommerce (it did not record all revenue). I've since switched over to Magento (~1-2weeks ago), and it's now working fine.

    Revenue: 18,000+AUD
    Profit: 2,000+AUD
    Costs: Domain, webhosting, products, advertising.
Traffic: Anywhere from 15-60UV/s day, depending on advertising campaigns.

Profit Details: I make approximately $100 on each laptop I sell -- obviously more depending on which postage option they choose, whether it was sold on eBay, whether they requested a memory upgrade, etc.

Reason for sale:Now, I'm a university student, I work part time, and I also run this site part time. Whilst it doesn't necessarily take up much of my time, I'm really looking to digress from netbook/laptop sales and move into sale of a different product. I'm not necessarily looking for a quick sale, but a good, friendly new owner for the site to go to (I & a partner deal with each and every customer on a personable basis, trying to build rapport and a brand name).

Asking Price:I understand that the site hasn't been online very long, and therefore will not reach anywhere near what it would be worth if I maintained it for another 3-4 months. I will entertain all offers of over one month's profit, and will provide all necessary details, advice and post-sale support that is required.

    What's Included:
I will include all customer records (and even find the ones dealt with via email correspondence as opposed to transacted on the site).
I will include all of my sources for the laptops.
I will include the site, domain, all future laptops/netbooks that will be on the site within the next few months when they're released (some with a lot higher margins than the site currently operates at).
I will include my expertise for a couple of weeks after the site-transition has completed, assisting you and your customers in pre-sale questions.

Any interested buyers can simply PM me for a break down of the first month's sales (and any other data that they require).

Thanks for... not making any sense. Customers pay me.

I'll just copy/paste this information here, as I'm sure it's information everyone came to this thread to see.

You'll need to edit the links. Both 3's -> e's.. I figured the future owner would not appreciate DP's sale thread being the #2 result on Google!

Here's my 'worksheet' for orders. Basically, it's an informal breakdown of every order and a rough estimate of the total profit. Actual profits are slightly higher than what is displayed, mainly because my postage costs have been a lot lower than the flat rate I used in the spreadsheet. Nevertheless, here's the worksheet.

The above is a screenshot of my paypal account. For obvious reasons, the surnames are blanked out. Now -- there are two transactions in there from Kevin; both of these were testing the payment gateway when we switched over to Magento, and that's why they were refunded within minutes.

Secondly, there is a hold on one of the transactions (Mario), mainly because he's a pain in the neck, so we're sorting out a refund for him at the moment, then re-selling the product. (customer changing his mind is apparently reason to open a paypal dispute these days... who would've thought.)

Lastly, when there are multiple transactions from the one person (I think they're all $50), this is because they've paid for a 2GB memory module upgrade. (The upgrade costs me approximately 30-35 dollars for the memory module, the remainder is 'profit' - for my time installing it, which takes about 10 minutes tops.)

The top half of this image carries on from page one of my received funds. It also overlaps just to show this. The second part is page two (as they're displayed at 20 results per page.)

The partial refunds are for postage refunds. Typically, if an item takes a little bit longer (i.e. I don't make it down to the post office to post the item), I'll just refund them the postage in order to keep them happy! My 'worksheet' should always reflect the accurate income that we receive in the product, and is modified when a refund is made.

This image carries on from page 2 (Sorry, really should've just merged them into one image for you!)

Okay -- as far as traffic goes. I'm actually surprised at how LITTLE traffic we receive, meanwhile we have such a high conversion rate (in my opinion). I've posted threads at a couple of forums to sell the laptops; I usually run PPC campaigns (adwords), but shut them off when I get too many orders coming in at once (every monday I tend to get a whole bunch of netbooks arrive to my house, then proceed to sort through them) and lastly, eBay. I was a little surprised of this last one. I've used the site's name as my own eBay account (unfortunately, not everyone gives feedback), and it tends to help drive traffic to the site.

If you give me your email address, I'm more than happy to add you to the analytics user-list for the site. I can also get awstats screenshots if you'd like.

Let me know if you need any other information, or require further explanation.

No -- I'd ideally be looking at at a few month's profit (2,000).

Uh.. right. Or I could just make a new PPC campaign, run it for the next week, then dissolve the site and it'd be a more reasonable suggestion than yours.
