People are searching for me by name... a few times last month, and a few times before that, but I had purged the logs. This time I reverse dns'ed the IPs and found a couple of pacbell addresses and one from the california department of general services. Any idea on how to get more info on who it is that's googling me? I've done reverse dns and then googled the IPs but came up empty. My name is pretty unique. I'm one of three that I know of, and one is my dad. I live in california and all these searches seem to have come from here. The dates from this months log being around valentines day leads me to believe its an ex-girlfriend or two, but who knows. I'm really curious.
Create a dynamic script that pulls the search query from the referer. Optimize this page for your name so yuo rank #1. Then when a search on your name comes through pop up a 'You have won x (something desirable) - fill out your details' and voila, you know who's looking for you. You can look up the geographical location of the IP address as well almost to block level, this might give you an idea who it is.
The government one concerns me... Hmmm... what does big brother want? I found 2 addresses in Sacramento, which is where a couple of clients' offices are. One in San Diego. That one stumps me.
I have people searching for me too. It's really wierd. but then again I am half Arabic, I think according to the patriot act they can dissect me alive if they want.
Maybe some old friend... I have been googling a girl that I fell in love with a couple of years ago... no luck yet, but I will find her one day...
There ain't no mountain high enough Ain't no valley low enough Ain't no river wide enough To keep me from getting to you Don't give up. She might be your soulmate
he he... I was just about to start a relationship with her... destiny didn't want it that way and I lost contact. Now I would do anything to get back to her, I would travel to the Himalayas if I knew she was there. Sad part is that I can bet she doesn't even remember my name.
