I am starting this thread here bcoz my thread over here, 7 Tips to write killer article which "i wrote" on my blog "Tips to improve site traffic", is stolen by site owner : http://anhblog.net/affiliate-progra...ite-traffic-attracting-killer-blog-particles/ So, he stole my article and i m receiving comments for my article, 7 Tips to write killer article, that i should give credit to this thief bcoz they think i am thief. Even while stealing this article, he is so fool that he has repeated my mistake " i have titled article 7 tips, but actually mentioned 8 tips in article". It is my usual practice to post seo articles on my site over here. I had by mistake titled this article 7 Tips which this guy has repeated. Very big fool. Cant even copy in neat way.....so pity. This damn guy has even dated the same date as i have ie 31 Jan. So, what do you think i should do now???? I am just in a enigma...plz help me.
if your 'article' is a thread on digital point, I was under the impression that the copyright belongs to DP, not you. I could be wrong. Anyone fancy trawling thru the T&Cs?
Well, it's probably not a good idea to post articles onto dig. point, but I should imagine copyright goes to the original writer and not to the site.
to be honest if you say "bcoz", i wouldn't be riping off anything you write any time soon secondly, if you published it FIRST, google will know this and you get credit. regardless of date.
Do a whois search on the site. Contact his host let most host are pretty strict against steal content. That's the advice I was given in the past.
They copyrights doesn't belong to DP. If Alex is an author, he can publish his article everywhere, but he is still an author and have all copyrights.
There are lots of great info related to stolen article. Thank for useful information. It is good for Article writer.
This has happened to me on several occasions actually. here is what you should do and in this order. 1 contact the thief and kindly ask them to remove your artilce from their site. If this does not work then. 2 Contact Google and file a DMCA (digital millennium copywright act) complaint. Google might remove them entirely from their index. You can use internet archive to prove who published to the web first. 3 Contact the plagiarists hosting company and file a DMCA (digital millennium copywright act) complaint. This reuqires the hosting company to remove the stolen content from their servers. You can also use internet archive to prove who published content to the web first for this purpose.
Stealing is no longer a new thing on the net. If you think your article is worth fighting for, then by all means, waste your time contacting that guy.
Send the person who stole your work a nice little email about cease and desisting... Then contact google and the person's ISP.
