$100 Page Design, Property Services Company

    Brief:
    - 1 Page design with logo
    - Please make use of stock photo's
    - The site will need the same links as on Site 1 and will contain the same amount of text (don't leave lots of room for text).

    Prize:
    $80 for just template or,
    $20 for just logo or,
    $100 for both

    Scenario:
I need a website template (.psd is fine) for a property services company. It offers similar services as Site 1. In fact my client said he particularly likes the design and layout of that site (hint!!). The client will also need a (simple) logo, see below for ideas.

    Company Name:
    Expectations Property Services

    Inspiration:
The client likes the following designs, so please keep them in mind.
    Logo 1
    Logo 2
    Logo 3
    Logo 4

    Current Logo
    Potential New Logo

Site 1 - The client originally wanted something very similar (if not a clone) of this site to give you an idea of what he wants.
    Site 2 (+ logo)

    End date:
    25th Jan

If there are no designs that match what I am looking for, I reserve the right to end the contest without a winner, however this is unlikely.

I would prefer it if you used free stock images from sites such as http://www.sxc.hu/. However if you decided to use paid stock images, that is fine - the budget on this will entirely depend on the design, if I think the investment is worth it then I'll pay that little bit extra. I would say no more than $50 on stock photography. Obviously the more free stock you use and the less you spend on on paid stock will influence my decision on a winner. It might be a good idea to post the cost of stock images with your entry, or PM me the cost.

All images are from the site you provided.

Obviously the images used for each service will be changed - I just wanted to see if I was heading in the right direction :)

I'll enter this just for the layout as logo's aren't my strong point. I must point out that the house used in the logo for this design is from a vector image from the site you provided. I'm not sure if this is allowed so thought it best mention it now just in case you do like it. :)

emzdesign - The image of the house on the main page looks more related to housing development/architectue. The business is a property maintenance, and it's main services are office cleaning rather than domestic cleaning.
Can you give it some kind of colour theme, it looks a bit plain at the moment. See site 1 in my original post - the client really warmed to that design.

    Thanks,
    Michael

willhaynes - Out of them three, i prefer the "lighter" one. The site is going to have the same amount of text as in site 1, so can you take away some of the text area, I'd like some pictures on there too (like the ones on site 1) so maybe these can replace some of the text?
As for the logo, it's "Property Services" not "Property Manager" but I do like the concept!

    Thanks

Here are some sample images that should give you the idea of what I want on the design (feel free to use them)

    FEEDBACK
bizzard - i like your design, it flows well - it looks a bit plain though and I can't think of any suggestions to fix it.

willhaynes - wow, much better. Just a few adjustments, can you change the telephone number to a british format (01234 123456 or something). Can you also remove the "what we do" and "featured news" sections and the "site designed by willhaynes" - i'm outsourcing this work so it shouldn't have a freelancers logo/trademark. Thanks

i7-GFX - I do like the concept of the background, but when it comes to coding it will be hard to tile it with that image as you will see vivid lines inbetween the tiles. The "call us now" bit at the bottom is fine. The image on the top right corner however - it doesn't really have anything to do with the business - looks like spanish villa or something.

shinan -i like the colours you've used, however the size and alignment of the pictures don't really match the rest of the design, maybe you could align them with the logo and make them the same height, maybe add a couple more too. Then you could move all the text and enquiry box up and align it with the navigation menu.

    CONTEST INFORMATION
I will be online tomorrow at about 10:00am GMT (English time) to download a few entry's to show to my client later that day. I will also be showing a couple of my own designs to provide variation. I advise you to make your final adjustments and upload your entry before then.
Thank you for all your efforts,
    Michael

I hope my opinions are allowed.

Bizzard - Great simple design, maybe the use of more colour e.g. background or even effects like "shinan" has used to fold the bottom corner would make it more appealing.

Willhaynes - Great design, i like that way that you have applied the use of colours and theme. The only bits i can say which you may wish to change are the titles "About Expectations" etc.. The Silver, web2.0 doesn't seem to match the template for me.

i7-GFX - Your designs are great as you apply the use of Web2.0. But in this case i think the use of a limited amount of Web2.0 designs would be better as you have to look at it through the professional prospect of the business.

shinan - Another template which in my opinion suits the needs of mcfc4eva. I like the way you have added that extra touch in places like the "Service inquiry" rectangle. 1 thing which you may consider is filling up the gaps like on the top and under the text.

I don't intend to offend any designer, it's just some little advice that may increase your chances of winning (in my opinion).
