If you submit your website(using either anchor text or url) to 30 directories at the same time, this will make 30 links to your site at the same time, which can be seen as spammy to Search engines. What if you submit your RSS blog feed to Many Rss directories on the same day, this wouldnt be considered a 'link back' to your site/blog because an rss feed is not classified as an incomming link, but can this signal any alarms to the SEOs? Example of an RSS feed = http://www.warriorforum.com/blogs/thevcf/feed.rss (lets say if we submit a blog rss feed to 30 Rss directories on the same day- can this signal any 'spammy' alarm bells? as we are submitting to multiple directories in a short space of times? or your site doesnt have any affect on SE's as far as RSS feed submissions is concerned?
I've found submitting RSS feeds, the fastest way to get pages indexed by Google. So in my view no, it's not spammy.
I don't think so that it is spam technique, but really rss feeds does not help in serps, but will improve the indexing Thanks SEO Professional
RSS has worked well for me. Not only for link backs, but deeper linkbacks. Not just submitting to rss directories, but also many social sites where you can add your feed, examples, mybloglog and squidoo, just a couple. Plus, where ever you plug in your feed, it will of course update automatically as the feed updates. Just don't submit to often, then it might look spammy.
