Anybody experiencing general slow down in traffic ?

I guess some industries have been hit hard by the financial situation in the world as people have less disposable income. Maybe this could be the explanation?

 

My blog traffic drop about 80% since last week. Is it true that Google will now allow its users to simply delete the entries of search listings that are not relevant?

I've noticed a slowdown in traffic over the last week or so. I work for a company with an ecommerce site and we conduct business on a nationwide scale via the web...it is definitely related to the Holidays if you ask me. I monitor web traffic very closely and have tools in place where I can view our site visitors in real-time and determine where they clicked from...it's very interesting to see how different events have a direct affect on web traffic - the day of the week, Holidays, major sporting events, articles and PR, etc.

Traffic around 10 of my sites has dropped about 75%. One of my sites has gone from 500 uniques a day to 100 - I'm being destroyed over here.

 

Seems like Thanksgiving is having an impact on traffic and sales.

 

Exactly same here. Seems like you are running some kind of professional directory or forum because that is what I have. I get 2K visitors at the time I should get 7K.

Global slowdown is one reason for slowdown of traffic to sites!

 

Financial problems + Christmas Celebrations + Thanksgiving day... all this make the traffic to go down.

 

Has to be the reasons I think

My traffic has cut almost 50% and along with that the earning is affected by the same percentage. I am not sure that is the reason behind this slow down of traffic.

 

No change for me in traffic. Maybe it s niche-dependent.

 

Right said they all are pushing down the economy and i think also to online traffic to many niches.

 

attention wordpress users:

a hack that steals google traffic was reactivated this week and killed a couple of my sites.

how to see if you are hacked:

clear your broswer cache.

google your site name and click it though google. if hacked it will redirect. it is a tricky hack as when you type the url in your browser it seems fine.
