    Hey
I have around 1700+ unique visitors and 7000+ pageviews perday in my site
And my daily adsense earnings are around $0,7-$2.
    Is that normal?
I always hear and see other people with less visitors then my site that earns 10 double from what I earn
I have good ad placements and colors (I think), and still
Please tell me what im doing wrong and how can I improve it.
My sites url is djmix dot fm.
    Thanks!!

For that much traffic you should be earning more. You only have a small one up the top right and some link ones in sidebar? perhaps you could start with a 468 x 60 at top of first post.

Not normal at all, you should earn so much more. The only thing you can do is try different ad placement. Change it around until you find the spot that seems to give you the most income.

Nice, that should definitely help. You could probably add a few more in various places if you want to in the future. I don't think it would clutter it, especially if you just use some of the small ad units. Anyway nice job, should help.

It is hard to say what the problem is. If your visitors are returning visitors, they will most likely not notice the ads.

However, I normally make $3 - $4 per day. Yesterday I only got $0.79 and today I got $0.00. I am befuddled as well...

    i think its quite normal..
    as u can't predict the exact/maintain figure...

with those stats, basically u could gain more..but i've faced it before when running an entertainment sites...

    maybe its about ur content/niche...
fyi, till now my entertainment sites having around 4k-7k views perday...
and my daily adsense earnings are around 1 - 12 dollar per day...

or even less than a dollar... :)
well..it hink its about the niche...:D

Maybe there are not much advertisers in that niche or the ad placement is bad.

Doesn't a lot of Adsense earnings have to do with what keywords your content pages are targeting?
Low paying keywords will naturally produce low dollars, even with a lot of traffic.

For me, I would change the placement so that the ad units are spread around and inserted between blog posts. The half banner located on top also looks isolated to me.

Have you thought about reducing the size of your logo and putting a half banner in the header. I find a lot of success with those.

I think you need to add some more content to ensure your ads are appropriate.

    Your site is about music etc....yet your adsense ads are showing CAR ads to me. E.G;
    Ads by Google

    2008 Honda Civic
    2008 Audi Q7 Reviews
    2008 Bentley Continental GT
    2008 BMW X5

Those ads are on the page:
    http://www.djmix.fm/2008/11/chris-fortier-field-trip-proton-radio-12-11-2008/

I am assuming that google is showing CAR ads due to the word PROTON in your title.

Maybe you could add a bit more content which will ensure the ads are appropriate to your visitors.

Remember that you have a variety of different ads at your disposal. Try adding some different graphic banners as long as google promotes your site correctly. Also, the maximum adsense ad units allowed on every page are three text/graphic/video ads but they also have link units that most people don't take advantage of but allows you to place an additional three link units on your page. The more ad information you have available related to your content, the more likely people are to click on it. And if google doesn't promote your site correctly, then you can always take the brute force method of getting clicks by placing ads in areas where people are likely to accidentally click.

Yo should make more. That's for sure.

You probably got smart priced by google. That means your site is probably poorly converting and google lowers the money you get per click to make advertising for the advertisers more attractive. Yes - that sucks. You can not do anything about it. The only thing I know is to place your advertisements only on top-niche related sites. Removing Adsense for some time might also help.

Also, make sure that you use the rectangle advertisements. They are paying out most. The other ads suffer a little from so called banner blindness. People got used to standard 468*60 and 728*90 advertisements and no longer click them. Rectangles is the way to go now.

Make sure you are using the right adsense colors. Not all colors get you the same earnings, some are more often clicked resulting in higher CTR and consequently higher earnings. That has a lot to do with psychology. Same applies to the best adsense positions on your blog. There are so called "hot-zones" which users tend to click more often.

The last option if you still have extremely low earnings is to use another advertisement programs. There are programs that pay you per 1000 site impressions and can perhaps get you better earnings. As with everything, experiment.

Sorry for linking to my blog. I don't want to promote myself, I just think I explained it quite well so that you can learn a little and optimize your websites.
