and you don't think the API is a dead givaway for google to see what you are trying to optimize your site for???? Just imagine if you had Shawns access to all of our keywords and sites, what a way to reverse engineer the sites that rank high on their keywords they are working on.
I'm going through McDars Datacenter tool and was wondering which datacenter is representative of the new update..
We don't know for sure, but Im willing to bet the results on: New: 64.233.171.99 New: 64.233.171.104 New: 64.233.171.105 New: 64.233.171.147 dc: 216.239.39.104 ex: 216.239.37.104 mc: 66.102.7.105 va: 216.239.37.105 dc: 216.239.37.147 mc: 66.102.7.147 Are the ones we will be seeing shortly.
I'll take that action. Page link for 2 months on http://www.toptentshirts.com/php-guide/php-guide.php vs. my main page (both PR4)?
IP Address followed by position.... 64.233.161.105-216 64.233.161.147-216 64.233.171.99-3 64.233.171.104-3 64.233.171.105-3 64.233.171.147-3 So, it seems like there is still some updating going on because currently I am no where to be found for that above term. VS, here is hoping for you and I....
Which results are you saying will stick these: gv: 216.239.59.104 -in: 216.239.53.104 -kr: 66.102.11.104 -lm: 66.102.9.104 ? If so, you're on. (I honestly hope I lose this bet... lol)
I fear you are right. Currently my results are runningg about 50/50. About 50% like those above. Serps worse on these for me. Shannon
One interesting note, though, is that on these two 64.233.161.105 and 64.233.161.147. They seem to be a little inbetween, and more of a google-esqe update.
They have been tinkering with it for the past 48 hours, we are basically at the same point we were yesterday at 6am *(in Hawaii).
These gv: 216.239.59.104 -kr: 66.102.11.104 -lm: 66.102.9.104 have the results I am looking to stick. They show my site at number 8 for 'web hosting paypal', and if I am correct about why things changed, I bet they will stick. As of this post, http://216.239.53.104 is not the results I am betting on...
It still looks like a real update that will stick to me. It is following the same pattern of a large jump and steady on the top ten listings for a few days. I hope you guys who have lost ground can gain it back quickly, cause I know it sucks to go deeper in the serps.
I've even improved a slight bit since the big upward push a couple days ago, going from not being on the map to #1 & #2 positions all over the place. Since I'm a Realtor in a relatively small suburban area there is little reason not to rank highly. Most if not all of the other agents hire firms to build their websites so they can't tinker with SEO and are poorly optimized. Being self taught in HTML, my site is very basic and straight forward so it should be easily spiderable. I've concentrated on keyword density and relevant file naming as opposed to back-links. According to Google I only have 10 BLs. I also only have a PR3 home page. What is nice to see in the past few days is an increase in rankings for actual Realtors in the area rather than real estate services companies that don't serve the area directly. It appears that the people who hold the most actual relevance to the keyword terms have justifiably gained as they should. In the not so distant past I was well over #100 for some terms that I should have been top 10 on with many random unrelated and inconsiquential sites above me. That role seems to have reversed...for now.
Google has always found real estate terms to be money words. Because of this google has tried to drive more and more Realtors to use their adwords by creating less relevant results. This has also caused some very good relevant sites to be excluded from being placed high in the search results. I also persoanlly believe that the real estate industry has a different algo than all others. It is in googles best financial interest to keep as many good sites out of the top 10 for real estate as possible. The more they keep out the more income they can produce.
