    Can someone explain what pinging is at it pertains to blogs? Also how do I go about setting up pinging with my blogger blog?

    In reference to blogs, pinging is sending a message to blog search engines/feed search/etc services to notify them that you have updated content on your blog. Some blogs, like wordpress or movable type (I think) will do it automatically. If blogger doesn't have that feature, which I don't know if it does or not, you can go to pingomatic.com, there are a couple others as well, enter your blog details, and it will do all of the notifying for you.

    If you use a slightly different pronouncuation, it's also an excellent site for that old children's party game, "Pin the Tail on the Goat".
