Oh, I'm back for a moment or two....:D

Which is why I said you have consistently missed the point. Pizza: shit happens in families, including "good families." It is lunacy, in my view, to surmise on what, how, and when Sarah Palin and her husband did in response to their daughter's pre-marital sex and pregnancy. We have zero understanding, and conjecturing on this is idiotic, to me, as much as anything like this respecting Obama and his family. What we do have before us is the result - a pregnant daughter, keeping the child, with the father committing to marry her. Given this, he has apparently been welcomed into the family fold. I make no value judgments one way or the other on these actions. I maintain, and it cannot be construed any other way, this is entirely consistent with Palin's stated values.

You have missed, and missed again, several times, that if Palin had secretly forced her daughter to have an abortion, then you'd have something - as Palin is anti-abortion. If her husband turned out gay, but they stayed married to keep up political appearances, then you'd have something, given her anti-gay positions.

As it stands, respecting this damned pregnancy issue, you have nothing. And I do marvel that so much attention is paid to this issue, when so much else is on the plate regarding Palin's complete hypocrisy on any number of substantive issues.

That's a legitimate question, Logic, and well put. Personally, for me, all the evidence points to (1). If (2), I'd say, it's quite possible, but again, the dispute I'm having is that somehow the fact itself - the pregnant daughter carrying the child to term and marrying the guy - is somehow a moral disconnect from the stated "values." It's simply ludicrous, since the fact completely squares with that system of values. But use it? Sure, entirely possible.

Also, Logic - thanks for the image. Laughter truly is the best medicine. :D
