Thanks for the positive feedback everyone, I must say I'm having fun with it.

Let's see if I can nudge ND into the top 10 within the next 72 hours.. (I smell another tool in the works) ;)

    Cheers,

    JL

As mentioned earlier JL, you got some great tools and strategy that works as wonderful link bait because they are useful and easy to use - well done.

No doubt in my mind you'll end up in the top-10 ... only question is how high.

    Thanks Alek.

I'm @ 21 now, and aiming for 7 or 8 over the next 72 hours. Just giving the site a temporary nudge while i verify a few things, then back to organics ;)

    Cheers,

    JL

Organics are best, but a few link exchanges here and there are ok :) (with good sites that is)

Love to see creative stuff like this in the contest JL - just hope you don't beat my entry! ;-)

Minor suggestion for 'ya - since a number of us have over 1,000 backlinks, consider comma delimiting those numbers on your web site - i.e. instead of 18958 use 18,958 as it is a bit more readable. Also recommend adding a PR column on your Top-10 list.

Yeah, I know :) I did it to encourage people to place the badges on their actual v7ndotcom pages, rather than hide them away somewhere, and for ease of use.

But I'll see what I can do ;)

    Cheers,

    JL

Actually, this is an awesome test of "hub authority theory" - i.e. does everyone who ranks well for a certain keyphrase link back to a central site ... which then is deemed authoritative for that keyphrase?

I've read that one should then link back out to to reinforce this, but that seems to fly in the face of recip link penalty that may or may not exist. Love to hear Matt Cutts comment on this.

    Hi everyone,

I've decided to implement revenue sharing on the score cards (running adsense now for around 48 hours, and behaving as expected) :)

There's a post describing in detail how it works, and a poll, so you can vote on how Google Publisher ID's are handled (ie parsed from page, discreet file server side, or managed etc)..

Basically, the ads are doing what I wanted (carrying ads specific to the source sites, not ND), so now all I need to do is determine peoples preferences.

    Cheers,

    JL
