$20 Logo Contest for new live music night in the UK - Vie Music

Logo needed for a new UK based live music night aimed at teenagers / young
adults. It needs to be crisp, sharp, modern, 'funky' a bit retro, not to
plain... needs to look the biz basically.

I'd like to see things done in just one colour really because it will be
used on a variety of different background colours, and is to be used for
web and print. The name of the Night is 'Vie' which is french for 'life'
(doesn't have to be anything to do with life or that translation - just a
bit of background info).

Prize: $20 (to be paid by Paypal)
Contest Open: Today (20th Jan) - end of Wed (22nd Jan)

I had the perfect idea for this, so I completed it quickly.
Very simple, but should be very marketable. Colors can be changed.

Hi unfortunately it's not a disco night, it's live music as in bands playing live. Please also see my last post about not wanting character etc. Thanks for your entry though I do really like it

I had a thought myself, but can't actually design it, of maybe a sort of 'scruffy, sketchy, scribbled circle or other shape with the Vie in scribbly writing inside to match? Something you could maybe try, or anyone else here?

Just been taking a look at your entries...

g.sim - my favourite of all so far. Really like that, could you try taking away the 'shine / stripey' effect in center please. needs to be just solid colour. any chance you could show in a few different colours (white with black outline, black with white outer, red, others). Thanks.

mora - quite like that 2nd entry with the circles, but could you try just a sort of scribbled circle with no solid colour, just outline?

crusader of the knight - if you could try something a bit more sketchy / hand drawn type thing also please
