I guess I'm just so sick of reading these stories, and wondering what the hell is up with our society. I don't know if this is an American anomaly, or the news feeds on this stuff in a frenzy of dollar signs, but it just gets me down. Don't know if I can calm you down, North. We may both need it. This one took it's toll on me as well. She was a precious little girl. I have two grand daughters (and a grandson), and I simply cannot fathom anyone doing this. It tears at my soul, to think that people could be like this. My mind cannot comprehend what could ever cause people to harm children. I'm glad we have the death penalty in Texas. I hope they get it, I hope the prosecutor specifically seeks out jury members that are for it. And when the time comes, I'd be honored to pull the switch.
Story is absolutely sickening. I often wonder as well, has society changed so much that it happens more now, or is it just things are reported more often.
Hey, buddy - long time, no chat. Nice to see you on the same thread. I understand the feeling, and as you know, I have contended with this a long time. They are murderous, evil subhumans. But I don't think peace will be brought to anybody by the state putting them to death. I'd rather they just be put away, and the grieving survivors - god, the grandparents - are given all the love and support they need.
I read CNN every morning and afternoon and I definately agree...this crap is happening way too much...it's so saddening to see this stuff going on so much...I hope those two people get the death sentence... I'm not a very violent person, but when I see stuff like this...and Eye for an Eye sounds excellent to me...when it involves children it's just horrible...
If this was a Muslim killer, everyone would be blaming Islam and Muslims. But very sad story, sick people.
not sure why you felt the need to mention Islam and Muslims in this thread that was about the horrific death of a child by her parents... and not everyone would have...i for one wouldn't have ...
You know one thing that strikes me as odd is that a game was thrown in there out of nowhere. It seems the media always makes "games" out to be the culprit when in reality its simply the people that don't value life in general that do these types of things, not the games that make them that way.
Yes, society has changed. Cowards are raised to look like heroes and heroes are painted to look as cowards. People are less and less educated these days and when i say educated i don't mean 'schooling'. No responsibility from bad parenting and it only gets worse. That's why you carry a .45 in your pocket at all times, and keep a double barrel shotgun by your bed and you learn how to gut someone if you need to. It's a cruel world so you gotta learn to adapt.
It doesnt matter what the religion of this person is that did this....they should be drug out in the streets and hung on national TV. Maybe this will have an effect on the next person that will do this.....sick FREAKS....
Well, that actually may be whats missing in todays world, as it does seem the nicer we become to criminals the meaner they become to society. Though, I'm unsure if even telecast punishments would stop all of them.
No, you could help it. This isn't a story about anything other than a tragedy, and I object to your using it to bring in your thoughts about anti-Islamic sentiments. Time and place for everything, brother, and this isn't one of them.
You know, I say that kinda jokingly buy not fully. Example.....that kid Michael Fay who spray painted cans in Singapore and got caught. Here they would do nothing, possibly a fine that his parents would pay. In Singapore..........he GOT HIS ASS LIT UP....!
