The point here is, Bush did NOT do anything "secretely". That's whats wrong with the story.

I'm actually enjoying this personally. Mainly because it shows the level of desperation the media and left will go to. They are imploding. It is really pathetic when you think about it. At a time when the left should be coming together to make a feeble attempt at finding a viable canidate for 2008, they are simply unraveling at the seems. It is truely pathetic.

Meanwhile they continue to aid our enemies by continually undermining our national security with lies. It's an all out effort to give control to our enemy, just because they are still mad that Bush won, not once, but twice. It's amazing how much more sense my two year old has.

And they did all this with prior knowledge from Congress, including Rockefeller, the "special" judge, and the FISA court, which DID issue warrants. Of course the NYT story claims otherwise. But again, the story is false. The fact remains that Bush did nothing "secretly" as the story claims.

There is not a day that goes by that I do not thank God and the American public for having the sense to put a LEADER into the White House. I sleep better at night knowing that.

I am also very thankful for the Internet.

Without the Internet, we would pretty much be at the mercy of the main stream media (MSM).

With the Internet, we are able to get a lot more news with a lot less spin.

That is very true.... the Internet is what is killing the mainstream media.

Side Note: I was born in Montana in 1968. I have paid my taxis, never had a problem with authorities, do not do drugs, drink in moderation, and mostly sit back as I watch the world become more depraved with its sex practices and drug vices. I could care less if the government spied on every boring conversation and email I made. I have nothing to hide like the modern criminal and terrorist thug.

The only attention I may get from government is from liberal lawmakers who want me to stop shooting little innocent animals during a more ever restricted hunting season.

So in other words bigdoug you don't give a crap about the US constitution or what this country was founded on

Many of the other posts made are very amusing as well, what the president did was not 'secret' yet he just stated it was 'secret' in his own words. Thank god his die hard supporters know more about it then him, otherwise we might be in trouble

I agree with Will the internet is a great source for information you don't find in the normal media, it however is a danger especially when people take a blog or other small time news sources word for the overall fact w/o any other confirmation that the story is true...This thread shows just that.

    ---edit

I thought republicans were for the Constitution?!?! and 'ALL' provisions of it, not just picking which ones they wish to follow or have enforced, reasons such as this is why this fastly slipping away republican and many others will find themselves in a third party, or in the middle with no real party to call our own.

---Further edit...The dems are just as guilty..definitely not going there :D

So what bothers you is the fact that every one else is getting some but you only can watch. ;)

Dude, that is not a big problem. Next time you see a girl, just go to her and talk. May be if you are in a bar, buy her a drink. Just talk about normal thing and avoid the crazy talk about bible and shooting small animals. Soon you will be getting some and enjoy depraved sex practices. You will forget all your crazy bible thoughts very fast. :D

I thought they were FOR small government too. HA HA!

I guess they threw all that out when they realized Bush was doing God's will.

Yes so did I :( They preach one thing and do the exact opposite, but still claim to be doing what they preach, when anyone with 1/2 a thought process can see it = a fiction story and not real life.

That's pretty much the point. If you have done nothing wrong, what do you have to worry about? NOTHING. Every bleeding heart on the planet whines and cries that our liberties are being violated. Makes me wonder what those that are complaining really have to hide.

    Hmmmm.

You would have been a good nazi, or fit in well in the Old USSR.

But I like the drug vices and the sex practices, in fact thats probably what I miss the most since I moved to suburbs

Yeah but you can also use the internet as an echo chamber to just re-enforce pre concieved opinions, which is pretty common

    Conservatives are far from homogenous.

Here's a brief excerpt from The Economist highlighting some of the fairly massive differences within the conservative juggernaut:
Also, if you don't subscribe to The Economist -- do it.

What part of the Constitution does the Patriot Act violate during a time of war?

Too bad you guys did not put this much "Constitution" whinning into the removal of God from that document. There's alot of "what this country was founded on" that is ignored almost daily by the left. So what else is new?

Still not quite getting it, are you?

Yeah, like the NYT. Talk about dangerous. Much of what they make up could be contrued as treason.

Correct. So again, what exactly in the Constitution is being violated?

Ah, the liberal mantra, call anyone that has a differing opinion a Nazi. Typical. Like I said, "imploding". The ship has sunk. I doubt we will see anyone from the left in the White House again for years to come if this childish name calling continues.

I have listed many of these already, not to mention the courts have already struck down some of it.

Getting what, the spin that you like to create?

hmmm, why I don't take one source, especially not some right wing or left wing online blog or publication. I see you have no problem with taking stories such as this, of course as long as it fits your agenda...

Please reread my posts in this thread, I've brought them up many times, showed where it does, showed where the courts agreed.....If you have read the constitution, read the patriot act, and have any clue at all it's pretty easy to see where violations exist...Glad the courts have already found some myself...

This statement alone shows me you have no real respect for the constitution, as long as it fits your agenda you're ok with it. Freedoms granted to us were not given to us simply so we could break laws, they were given to us to protect us from our government as the founding fathers sene fit. A basis of what they believed would make our country great, to believe what you stated above shows w/o a doubt that either you don't know what the constitution is about, or that you don't care as long as it goes with your agenda.

As far as God being removed, please show me where God has been directly removed and I'll gladly comment on it. I think both sides in this instance go way to far... Such as school prayer, I don't think it should be broadcast over the speakers, but do not have a problem with those who wish to before school, during lunch, study hall, etc sit together and have a private prayer...IMO that is nuts...that schools do not allow them to.

You mean monitor terrorists, as the article clearly suggests. The NSA doesn't care about butt wranglers.

And even knowing that, the usual constitution whiners are working hard to get around it with dumb general statements like "you don't even care about the constitution," etc. I was for it before I was against it. It's both sides equally. Boring...

Get a clue...the NSA was doing it's job following up on intelligence and defending our country from those that want to do us harm. And some of you are actually disappointed with that? Well, yea, I certainly see who is...the usual suspects.

"I'm for the constitution, as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of terrorists to carry out their operations."
