I was just wondering what are the other good digg clones(good=decent traffic) where I can submit my stories. There is one plime , and what else ? [I will myself try to update this thread if I came to know few] but for now, need some input from your guys Regards
There are some many digg clones ou there... But don`t waste your time on them. The kind of traffic and links digg can get you, they are pretty useless compare to them.. Anyways since you asked... 1. Netscape - http://www.netscape.com 2. Reddit - http://www.reddit.com (NOt a digg clone) 3. Shoutwire - http://www.shoutwire.com 4. Rocketboom is also planning to launch a similar thing. 5. Any site running Pligg software.
I think I didn't framed my question properly, I am indeed looking for low traffic sites just for links. I surely do know all these soial tagging sites. There is a site plime.com , now I am looking for few more such sites. They can indeed give you few visitors but most importantly, you get a backlink with no pesky digg user comments
Besides Reddit and Del.icio.us, a few of the more popular ones are: StumbleUpon MyWeb2 Backflip Furl Blogmarks
Heres a list full of digg like sites, http://www.blogmarketingtactics.com/social-bookmarking/social-bookmarking-top-links.html -- Phil
For links you can try submitting to all these sites, but have in mind that most of them have rel="nofollow" For instant traffic use the stumbleupon toolbar
Take a look at http://www.bumpzee.com/affiliatemarketing and Spotplex, http://www.techcrunch.com/2007/02/28/exclusive-is-spotplex-a-better-digg.
netscape is now http://www.propeller.com/ here is a better list of sites that allow bookmarking http://3spots.blogspot.com/2006/01/all-social-that-can-bookmark.html
I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has tried submitting to all or most of those, and what the results were.
Thanks Raithe. Yes, http://www.Tagsum.com is another option. We also offer webmasters revenue share so you can make money on items you submit. Right now we have a news and photos section along with a social networking side. This week we will launch some further feature updates as well as a video section. Next month we will be expanding to foreign language markets in our effort to go international
Oh, and we don't use no follow on our links, and we aren't based on pligg or any other commercial script. It's a system designed and developed in house. We've had over 100,000 unique hits already and we've been live less than a month
