Wordpress can have whatever you want. Just see this wordpress integration: 1 bird shop It's wordpress, cj/ebay affiliate, and a dose of php. If you don't know php, you can allways buy bans, which is a very good script to make a store.
No. I installed the exec-php plugin. That plugin permits that you use php code inside your posts, and then i used a normal rss fecthing code that work the rss feed from ebay. I add this to other threads, but i'll add it again: http://www.tonyrocks.com/index.php/tutorials/adding-an-ebay-rss-feed-to-your-wordpress-blog/ Kerosene make that link available, it's the basics for what i was talking about, and it's a very good tutorial.
Thanks for that link. I tried it out and got it working pretty quick. Couple of semicolons missing in the short piece of php code but once I added them it worked for a test post on one of my Wordpress blogs. Shouldn't this also work for a plan old web page, non-Wordpress? No need for execPHP in that case. I tried but it looks like the rss parser isn't working. No error message, just doesn't seem to parse the feed.
Very nice store. I've been wanting to build a store for a long time, but I know how hard it would be to get organic traffic. I agree with the others about cloaking the affiliate links. I use a php redirect on my Joomla site. Anyway, good luck.
Wow! I'm impresed! Very nice! Just please remove mouse-over in CJ cause it looks ugly and many would hesitate clicking on the product... I want to include a hardware page in my website now (see signature)... sell modems, routers, firewalls, cat5 cables.... Please teach me lesson 1 for beginers.
Thanks! removed the underline on mouseover i used joomla, as karosene said it is a monster web application, around 9MB +virtuemart - 1mb + catelog builder + moslate. which makes a complex admin panel for a beginer, still if you need the package i can give it to you, i will have to read the TOS of "catelog builder" which is not free.
Thats a really nice looking store. I am going to take a look at using Joomla myself after seeing yours. Very nice!
It works in simple php pages. But that is only the basics. If you choose a hosting with php5 you can make new code using the simplexml. And with a little more effort you can make a script like bans or even better that suite your needs.
