1. Yes I do blend them in but I also change the colors from time to time so not to make the visitor used to the same old. I use mostly box and links. 2. This particular one was from only 2 websites. Together I believe I get around 7000 uniques/month. 3. CTR is above 2% (average is a little lower since one site is mostly forum)

Well, your answers make me even want to ask more... 1. Where do you put your adsense ads? Below the title of each article or where? And when you changed the ads colour? Each time a week or? Do you filter your ads? 2. What? 7000 uniques/month is very small, do you mean 7000 uniques/day? 3. Well, to be honest, I'm still struggling with CTR. Sometimes I can get 1.7% CTR but sometimes only around 1%. Do you really believe if we changed the colours of the ads frequently, it will boost my CTR?
It's a forum and I have spent nothing on SEO. It all depends on the layout of your site. If you can put ad right in the beginning without interfering with the reading then that's the best. It all depends when I change ad size/color. Mostly when I see it dropping a little. Nope, I mean 7000 uniques/month. Not really but if you increase the quality of the content, your users will come automatically and increase the chances of good clicks. Again, you have to take everything into consideration when implementing adsense. Traffic, quality of the traffic, content quality and site layout. Hope this helps.
7000/month? That's very small. Even one of my website got much more traffic than you and everyone who ever made more than $100 in a day always said they have at least 5000 unique/day. Well, to be honest, I am agree with DFence, it's not possible to get $300 in a day only with 7000 unique/month , unless maybe if all of your visitors clicked your ads. How much is your average CPC? Well, even if every of your visitor's click counted as $2, it means in that day, you got 150 click. With 7000 unique/month it means your visitor per day is only around 230. How can this possible?
Ok, are you guys counting uniques as in UNIQUE users? Meaning NEW visitors? That's the way I do it. lol sorry about that. What number should I give you?

Sorry, I am not too good at tracking stats and checking reports.. so here it is for the last month (where it was really busy) -- google analytics.. so just tell me what figure is what 166,901 Visits 81,089 Absolute Unique Visitors 896,288 Pageviews 5.37 Average Pageviews 00:07:26 Time on Site 46.35% New Visits
ok, thanks for the stats. Anyway, what is your website is all about? I'm not asking your niche, just want to know your general topic. example: if you have a website about "video game", you can say to me it is about "entertainment". Or if you have a website about basketball, you can say to me it is about "sport". I'm asking this because I know CPC is playing an important factor in adsense.
