Tops30, review the Google Adwords TOS.

To promote affiliate products you are now REQUIRED to have a landing page.

Only one aff. URL will be approved, the other ones promoting the affiliate program will have to create landing pages.

    :)

The only questionable area (Questionable because I didn't see the actual ads) was Nintendos AdWords campaign but that has nothing to do with this thread and Shawn could delete those couple of posts if he wanted to.

It seems Nintendo already settled out of court though ;)

Yeah doh that's what I'm saying. You moan about having to dig through crap whilst your tool does just that to innocent searchers. It makes them dig through crap to finally find what they want.

Care to point to any precedents where courts have issued orders to shut down forum threads for similar discussions?

His case was different though...I have posted nothing but facts which I can either back up or are based on opinion. That doesn't even come close to the legal standard for slander, etc (Whatever you are going to argue to a judge)

My interest as a forum poster is discussion. I do take it to heart though when I think advice or software can result in an AdSense ban as this is a learning forum with a lot of newbies that might actually think they can create hundreds of sites with automated tools and make a fortune without actually adding any content.

LIke I said, if its for SEO and you want to market the blackhat market be my guest but when you aim at the AdSense market, I think thats wrong

I take offence at the threatening behaviour and attitude..

Consider this, if you fail to get this thread removed (that would be my guess) what will you do then ?

Show me where in any of my posts I step that legal line. Whereas there are far more "inaccuracies" in your site than in this thread. As you have admitted in previous post: for example: "replace google with webcrawler".

sounds like Costa Dedes is very big on bullying and threats.

Kind of a good way to tell a good marketer from a bad one.. A good one is going to convince the skeptics there is at least something to what they are doing. They bad ones are going to break down and resort to threats and bullying.

Feel free to decide which one you seem to fit in.

You'd be surprised. I'm not exactly your typical forum rat.

When the first I ever hear from/of someone is a message demanding I remove someone else's thread or else I'm going to be sued, it doesn't bode particularly well with me. For me it's about principal and if you want to sue me over not censoring users without a court order, that's perfectly fine. I have more than enough resources to go through that. Plus it will give me something to do and leave me with an interesting story I'm sure.

Dang I started a thread that is now 14 pages long. I will point some coop weight to this thread. Heck if everyone does that I'll have a pr 6 page pointing to all of my sites and will be stopping a spammer at the same time.

How about everyone pitches in $5 and we purchase 116 directory sumbissions.

Heres my $5, we need 5 more people.

Hehe, CWdedes I'm no law expert but your telling me your going to fight Shawn in a case of freedom of speech and win. You'd be fighting not only digital point but I'm sure google would love to ensue on a legal battle against you to.

Nice, I'm the one that posted this, can I fly to Californa to testify, I've never been there before would love to meet some of you guys.

Any DMOZ editors please stand up maybe we can get this thread a listing there too.

CWdedes I'm also sure they passed a law last year call the CanSpam law, which would make that spam message you sent me illegal, as I'm sure I never signed up to learn how to scam people.

Hehe, I changed that so he wouldn't get a link for seo/search engine purposes.

This has to be one of the most entertaing posts I've read in years. In order for Costa to sue, he would have prove that this thread is of a libel nature that in fact, the claims made aren't true. How would you do that, by answering the very questions raised in this thread in a legal venue. The answer would then be "public" domain, available to anyone under the freedom of information act.

Then the judge would decide if it had any merit before any type of order would be issued, whether to remove the thread, or a dismissal of the motion. In addition, first you would need to file the motion $, server a subpeona $ and of course consult/hire an attorney in the first place $$$. Of course, the underlying issue would be to prove what was said here was a lie.....in which point your "secret" strategies would become public record as I mentioned earlier. IMHO

Disclaimer: *I am not a lawyer, nor am I giving legal advice. Nor am I advocating either side of this argument!

I really dont think you need to, Costa already made another thread with his name in the title. I would expect that to rise up naturally anyway.
