My apology if this thread is some kind of the same as my last post, but i just want to ask if Nagios a network monitoring tool that i will be using can have an effect on SEO tasks,I am not an seo though i know some concept, but i just want to be sure not to affect the marketing side..TIA
Well - it will help to ensure that your site is always online so that is a positive. You will want to set your stats software to ignore the IP that the nagios monitor is coming from - so your stat's aren't skewed by a monitor visiting your site every few minutes. It will have zero affect on what the search engines or any of your visitors see. All it does is open up a page every now and then to make sure your server is online.
you tell nagios which page to load. I wouldn't think it would trigger a javascript counter. I'm pretty sure it just uses wget or curl, but it's been a long time since I've played with the ins and outs. If you don't run the nagios server yourself, you should direct that question at the people who do. They'll be able to tell you. If it's something like a php script that logs visits on access, it would of course trigger that.
It can slow down a site but it is very minimal..I removed it from most of my really clean sites just to gain that extra half second. The site I have kept it on has an external shopping cart so it comes in handy as my web logs wouldn't show that. I would suggest if it is very useful for you, then pay the membership fee which also gives you the right to remove the link to them.
A word of advice Watz.. Don't give negative rep when someone is trying to help you You didn't make your question clear so I was answering it the best I could. If you would have just posted the clarification above, I would have answered it Good Luck and Welcome to DP

We aren't mind readers here...Again I apologize for trying to be helpful. Good luck with getting your answer if your technique is to red rep anyone that doesn't provide a perfect answer (By the way, I actually know the answer to your question as I know statcounter very well but I don't feel like posting it and getting more of your wrath)
well its your call i am aiming for good answer not for what i think you are aiming for..good day and have a nice day...
Watz calm down mate...if you don't find what you like in an answer just skip over it...don't start jumping on the red rep or we'll set Gadood on ya.
