When you're buying PLD license it doesn't matter which version you will use... If you like 3.xx install it. If 3.1 rocks you do it with 3.1. New admin panel doesn't impress me much. Had to buy wide screen monitor And it seems to refresh page much longer than with 3.xx And what is worst - developing new mods must do special versions for 3.1... Anyway purchasing PLD script is really worth or it. I strongly recommend it.
You bought a new monitor because the new phpLD admin panel wouldnt fit on your screen? You are joking right? Have you not found the screen rez properties yet to increase your screen rez?
Yeah,ye,ye,ye .... My old rez was standard 1280x1024 max. Now have flat wide screen LCD which is really useful specially for PLD Admin area. And from other hand my old monitor was so huge and sharpness was getting lower and lower. So it was the time for BIG change. Now I'm happy like a child though I'm coming to 50's.
There is a fix posted in the supporters forum about this. We also will do yet another design for the next version of phpLD. It looks really cool...can't wait to release it.
thanks for the reply guys!, just one thing> so basically the codes are being encrypted so that phpld webmaster could keep track on who actually use the sites? In this case, how can i modify the codes myself?
The deep links mod is offered by a third party (not by phpLD). Actually, I believe there are a couple versions of the deep link mod available. One is free, but I don't know much about it.
If you want to remove the call backs just let me know. two can play this shit. edit: maybe i should post a tutorial hahahahaha
I might add that An0n (above this post) was the first to create a publicly available release of the Deep Link Mod and is known for being second to none in his support of his customers, many of whom swear by him.
The third party (don't understand why Rob(an0n) has been referred like this) is an0n He's just installed the deep link mod on the third of my directories http://www.zippydirectory.com/ and I'm pleased to name him for the benefit of anybody like me who's not very techy, as somebody who provides an excellent service and support (I speak from experience)
I found it odd as well knowing David's quite familiar with who he is and what he's contributed @ phpld.
David and phpLD are doing just fine. My guess, An0n wants a cut in phpLD and not getting it....Just my guest.
No no no... get it right. An0n was promised to grow with phpLD for supporting it. Face it dude, nobody gets a 'cut' of phpLD. Not even the moderators. So whatever David fed you in your little one on one is bullsh*t. and if you EVER need reference to integrity, here, I have the perfect post for you e-bud-e. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=2755861&postcount=481 If David wants to play the devil's advocate, then so be it. Watch him burn. so now, I have work to tend to. I'll be back to see if any drama unfolds while I am currently supporting my clientele and *gasp*phpLD*gasp*
I miss that part of the post...nice read. Will An0n come up with his own directory script?...will it be An0n5? Better grab some popcorn... Note: I am not playing the "devil's avocate" or anything, but I have suspected a drama for the past many months, a little hint there, a little hint here and might as well know about it a little.
Look, I tried to support an0n's mod by saying he was the first and offers great support. I have had many conversations with Anon, and there are things I will not get into publicly. I try to run a good business, be reasonably generous to others, and above all, be honest. There are lots of people that have been been paid generously by phpLD for their help (including An0n though there are limits). As for specifics, that is something that I cannot disclose.
Just for the record Mr. David do you write the scripts yourself ? Please answer Yes or No. If so, there is no need for you to pay them huge amount as you are the one writing the scripts. But if not you really need to give them their deserve cut.
