The Pagerank (PR) Thread

Well there are 100s of replicated threads such as "Which forum is better phpbb or VB". Does that mean for each one of these there is going to be an infraction issued? Sorry but I'm not going to suck up to idiots and she is not respected by all.

Just drop it bro , its only 1 infraction your going on about it like its the end of the world , they expire after so long and you need 10 befor you are banned and you only have 1 so what you moning about?

In Pagerank Update Thread there are about four kind of members who post

1) Say PR update is happening and give some kind of proof (their URL or/and screenshot of change)
2) Say PR update is happening but don't give any proof.
3) Say PR update is not happening on their site(s).
4) Say PR update is NOT HAPPENING AT ALL.

These members check PR and show some kind of evidence of their checkings. They mostly show their URL checked or/and screenshot of PR change.

If they are credible members at this forum then we should trust in their witness (though they have not shared their url ... and of course they are of no obligation to share it). We should no needlessly doubt on their revealing even if they are new members or have less or no reputation.

Lot of members will say that these kind of posts are useless but i say its their participation in the forum and the way of telling that how far PR update is spreading.

Members in this class can only be trusted if they come with some proof that the members classified as class 1 have posted fake screenshots.
OR
They should prove that members classified under class 2 have history of telling lie on forums and spreading wrong information or they cannot be trusted even if they have high number of posts and high reputation.


Now its up to you whom you classify as contributing members .. class 1 or class 3/4 ?



Majority of posters in this forum belongs to class 3 then class 2 then class1 and at last its class 4.
While scanning this thread for recent PR update ... i have not seen any single post which can proof viewpoint of members classified as class 4.


Below i have tried to prove that class 4 members are not reading the posts of members ... they just come into the forum and fire and then run away ...

 

It's post like yours that should receive an infraction. I simply posted that the update had started. Perhaps you should read mongs posts. Sorry but I thought this was a web masters forum.

I would have posted proof of one of my sites (2 month old domain) gaining pr2 but my initial post was met with abuse so why even bother.

Like I said and received an infraction for. The update has started!

No one here is attacking you. All they are trying to do is show you the errors of your ways.

My problem is this. I have never posted in the pagerank thread before simply because I had seen nothing that suggested that an update was happening or going to happen. When I did post because one of my sites had gained pr2 on some data centres I was attacked and received an infraction. Sorry but I do have a backbone and have never been or will be one of the sheep that simply tow the line of the masses.

Also I have noticed that mong has had to justify his claims. If you read some of his posts then I'm sure you must realise that he knows what he is talking about and although I don't know him I do respect his opinion.

This is a webmaster forum and if mods are going to dish out infractions because somebody reports a pr update in a new thread rather than tag this news onto a thread which already is far too big then in my mind it does belittle this forum.

Maybe I did get a little bit carried away and for that I will apoligise but it seems that those in the flock can get away with what they say.

It's getting tedious now and when the doubters see their updated pr rank in the next 48 hours perhaps they will reflect on their posts.

 

I think the net is getting too huge for Google to update PR at once, or may be something else!

Mong is right in the belief that if people don't see PR updating on their own sites there is noting anyone can say to convince them a PR update has actually started
