Let me start by saying I'm a HUGE fan of early 90's rap and RNB. Let me also state I currently can't stand 99.9% of what is being released now (in rap/hip hop). This guy from (i think) Germany makes the best remixes of songs I've ever heard... any fans of this genre I suggest you check him out :)

Not by any stretch of the imagination... it's just noise, bad noise, as far as I'm concerned. Gimme Aerosmith, Styx, Eagles, REO, ELO, REM, LRB anyday.

How about trip-hop (like Thievery Corporation). :) Definitely not hip-hop, but trip-hop and hip-hop sound similar, so... :)

There are definitely a lot of folks crossing the boundaries these days...look at The Herbaliser and Gorillaz. Course I do love my Tribe Called Quest, and I almost cried when the Fugees broke up *sigh*, and you can't ignore the Roots. Jean Grae did some amazing stuff on the latest Herbaliser cd.

I'm not much of an old school fan. I respect it, but I'm all about the groove baby. And if you want to get laid....there's nothing better than surrounding yourself with the motown sound.

Well I definitely cried when my dog ate my Lauryn Hill cd. Lucky for her she was a super cute puppy at the time...crying seemed like a good option, cause it was either that, or strangle her. :(
