Never understood why Chris (Alive) the most fanatic directory promoter I know never got listed at Dmoz, it’s not a question of $$$, probably he never wanted to pay a editor to get listed, probably against is on personal beliefs.

 

so are you suggesting that in order to get into dmoz you must pay $ ?

does the three $$$ represent some sort of symbolism towards what you offered/were offered or something? I mean one $ is enough to get the point across, so why would you signify three $$$'s? hrmmm... you're definitely suspect with that post.

maybe sometimes HONESTY does have it's pluses as well as it's place amongst listings. you might want to look into it; honesty that is.

An0n this one was really funny I only putted $$$ because I like to put 3x$ when substitute the word “Money” I know by reading posts that the entry price normally starts at more than $100 and SeoCompany.ca even charges it on the site.
I would never pay to get listed for 3 reasons:

- I am firmly against any type of corruption
- I don’t give Dmoz too much credit
- Even if I forget this 2 and submit why pay; nobody guarantees that the listing will stay, I don’t like to burn money.

BTW I have some clients sites listed at Dmoz and yes you can get in for free depending on the category, and yes I found no difference whatsoever on SERP.

 

You might want to re-read what seocompany.ca actually charges for before posting such insinuations.

That was the objective all along. If he was smart enough in his first post he could have included his longtime co-directory owners here.

You want to build something you should have prepared a list, but no, you've excluded everyone and placed yourself with botw et.al. leaving even DD as you well know it is already listed in DMOZ.

No DirectoryDump.com unfortunately doesn’t pass the CopyScape test, probably An0N decided was not a priority, maybe in the future he will invest more on this.
