Getting Google Check Cashed From Pakistan

Guys I just received my check from Google adsense, the amount is 632.44$, but the thing that is haunting me that on the check its written

Payable at : CITIBANK N.A
THROUGH CITIBANK (NEW YORK STATE)

now the thing I dont understand is Y the hell not CITIBANK ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN

or what should i do now to get the check cashed :S?

 

i didnt ever see anything on my check like this. its always like " Payable to : "
You can deposit in any bank .

 

i think you can safely deposit in your local bank , a/c payee cheque, i wish you luck carrying so much money in pakistan must be a dangerous task with all those ak47's around j/k (hello from india)

 

PAYABLE AT: just means you can cash it at that bank because that is where it is drawn on. there is no problem depositing it in any bank.

You still shouldn't face any problems. That's just where the check has to go so that it can be cashed.

All i do to get the money is i go to CITIBANK ISLAMABAD (PAKISTAN'S CAPITAL) and ask them to cash the check?

and i need to take my NATIONAL IDENTITY CARD with me right?

 

of course you will need ID.
as long as the bank is CITIBANK you can cash the check, you do not need an acct with them as the check is written from that bank.

Dj_Flush, if you still having problems, I'll tell you how it works in Pakistan..

You dont need to have bank account in CitiBank. Go to any bank where you have account in Pakistani Rupees (like MCB, HBL, Standard Chartered, Bank Al-Falah etc.)... Submit the check with deposit slip, it will be credited into your bank account in about 30 days.. The amount will be converted into Pakistani Rupees automatically.

Same check i receved , but i didnt deposit yet in my bank account.

and Mr. Sufi HBL takes almost 2 months to clear thess checks , Their system is very old , but i heard that MCB cleared in 15 days ..

 

HBL (Habib Bank ) in pakistan Takes 22 Days, MCB 45 days, UBL 28 days, Saudi Pak bank takes 40 days and sonairi bank takes 40 days
