I don't see that you are breaking the TOS. THe fact is, why worry about this guy. He is making his assesment on the fact you seem to have written a site only for AdSense (there is very little content) but in the end its up to Google to decide.

"The site goes nowhere, does nothing, it is just built for adsense. You can pick them a mile away."

Is what he is referring to.

Building a site for adsense is against the TOS.

I don't see "little content" and "written for Adsense" being equal. At least when writing for Adsense, I wouldn't stop at few pages... Apart from that, I don't see any problem, either. No even a duplicate content on a quick copyscape check.

I wasn't suggesting it was against the TOS. - Its not for me to decide. If it had an application form to apply, it would be the same as most other finance sites I think ;)

Its not the amount of content if its good unique stuff. But two pages on using equity without any other navigation like contact us, etc.

The forum is a nice start although its completely empty.

If there were equity products being sold, I could see your point but it is defiantely written for AdSense.

There are a million sites like this though so I doubt it would result in a ban.

Thanks for replies. I do have a alright amount of content (www.use-your-equity.com/realestateinvesting.html and www.use-your-equity.com/buyinghousesatadiscount.html !) :D

What can I do about this though? I was in the process of writing a few more articles but it really annoys me that someone is trying to shut me down for not doing anything wrong!

No one can shut you down. Its up to Google.

The referenced poster basically thought your site was a bit thin and offered nothing...Thats their opinion, not Googles.

I believe the arrows pointing at the ads on the one site is against the TOS, but the equity site looks like it is ok...

I think Ferret meant the original poster and the guy from the other forum.

We were asked for our opinion so there is no "turning on another webmaster" here

What is the site, if it's not for adsense? It provides no service, no unique information, just ads on the top left a definition of equity and some easily obtainable articles. I don't get why everyone is pussy-footing around it here. Is it made for adsense? Of course it is.

If you are proud of the site and think it has some good content, great - that's fine, but at least face what it is.

I was talking about alan perkins

    but either way

I don't see why any webmaster would care if someone else made a website for adsense

Heh... he needs content for the forum.

see the pattern here.... content for Adsense. content for forum.

And I hear saying everywhere.... content is the king. content rules.

    :D

Your site seems OK, if you ask me. That other site, the Volcom or whatever one, was obviously built only for Adsense. It's total spam. Every page is a duplicate of every other page, except with a simple find-and-replace on the product name. That one should go bye-bye - it's total spam.

Not that I'm going to report it.

Why does it matter if there are 500 pages of adsense ads? Why would google care... if a site is spammy crap :

    1) people shouldn't even be able to find it in google
    2) I would hit the back button in a second even if I did run across it.
    3) Even if someone does find it, enjoys the sparse content, and clicks an ad... who does that hurt? The adwords user is still getting a hit with a possibility of turnover.

I'm at a loss as to why the guy complaining even cares, or why google puts it in their TOS?

Because he is the type of marketer who uses putting others down to bring himself up.

Its very common, there are a lot of SEO people who like to make a lot of noise about "spammers" because it makes them seem more authoritative

Kind of like what I am doing right now except reversed.
