here is my newest: lap band surgery . It was quick but people are already building my backlinks for me ( thank you very much) I did one last year with an electricity invention that ended up being a pr7, but I cant say the url. It actualy made it to the newspapers, I guess they thought it was real.
HA! WE GOT YOU What gives you the right to make a website like that? Do your parents know what you are up to? They will soon! I dont know what kinda scam you are trying to pull off but its not going to work. We have been investigating you over at www.lapbandtalk.com/website-fake-t27880.html Do you know how many people you are scaring with that site? You should be ashamed of yourself. If you do not take that site down within twenty four hours we will report you to your local police. We know your home address and email. Why dont you and your geeky loser friends here get real jobs instead of playing on the internet all day. looks like the MySpace losers club. 24hrs to remove the site or you are going to jail!
My guess is that PISSEDOFFMOMMA is part of the linkbaiting ploy. Either that or just trying to piggyback off the hype of 955's site.
no, I think she is in fact one "PISSEDOFFMOMMA" about the whole thing...just look at her passionate and totally off the wall reaction (though in her shoes I would have done the same if I felt the site was harming people). funny though, at least one of the members on that forum recognized that the site is a parody - they thought it was funny!
Naw, shes for real: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/website-fake-t27880.html She's a nut whos been calling my whois number all day screaming about being offended. Like I would care. I think targeting women when link baiting is easier as they seem to share and talk more, add to the link baiting a targeted offense to a select minoirity (like easily offended fat people) group, and your back links will build quick.
I don't believe that this way or another, looks like you're good at it P.S.: does each member has his weight in the siggy on that forum?
I gotta hand it to you 955 - that is a pretty good one for something you threw together quickly. I'm a big fan of the Matt Cutts eats babies thing they did at threadwatch - although I don't know if I'd call that linkbait. www.shaveeverywhere.com is pretty solid for a corporate viral attempt. I can't believe the whole christmas lights thing worked as good as it did, but that guy is a member here. I actually was reading through his traffic report the other day - he hit the front page of slashdott, digg, and a bunch of others. It came in short bursts, but 300,000+ visitors off of the majors within a month isn't so bad.
Unfortunately pissedoffmomma isn't part of the scam....she's just upset. As are several people who have lapbands, because although some people are well informed and know this couldn't possible be true (a doctor would never let his patient die like that...not even doctor Nick I think) other less informed people may believe it. I personally have no problem with scam sites like this...most of them are funny....and as shoty as the work on this one is, I mean come on...who is to believe those photos are all the same person...and how easy it was to do a Google search and find them all...a little lazy man...really. However, lots of people who are thinking about this potentially life saving surgery may decide not to because of seeing this site. I say have fun making whatever you want but when it effects public health...you have crossed the line. Do the decent thing man and take it down....or you may find yourself being sued in a year or 2 by some one who decided not to get the surgery because of your site, but then had a heart attack because of their weight problem......sounds far fetched....but in the land of happy lawyers and sue happy americans...it could happen.
