Well, i am glad to say that yes i purchase links to internal categories as well infact mostly blog posts like if i purchase links in shopping related site i simply link to shopping category i believe it is better and helps in directory rank! Saad
Just to make sure everyone gets it right: Don't get me wrong, I have nothing with the owner of linksarena, it's just the first site that jump into my eyes. don't have the time to analyze all.
I get this when I try to acces the site: And then this from a whois: So: 1. how is this "contest" any more than a simple-minded blatant manipulation for backlinks to his domain? 2. if the guy can't even afford hosting fees for the site, why do you think he's going to be able to come up with the announced cash prizes? 3. He was deported from the US in early 2006 so why do the contact details still show him with a San Diego address? Can you say "scam"?
I can't say it is a scam! you see, the directory market is kinda overloaded, I didn't get into this contest for money, just was curious if my directory is "Just another directory" or "A real directory". what's the use for a domain like directorycontest.com ? maybe his host can't afford the amount of traffic that comes to the site says where and who cares? if you have a directory aren't you curious if it is not just another directory?

Yep, my directory has option of submitting sites with custom meta tags even directories in top have custom meta tags atleast first 10 one This option is only in PHPLD 3.06 you can check cache for category source though Saad
It's not wrong, but it's not quite fair, how many listings do you have with a description of 1 page? how many listings that have a 1 page description do you approve? the answer is the same. NONE.

Well, i thought it is enabled by default.I am sorry about it as i've edited directorycontest.com link from admincp.Though i have enabled it now .Also if you look into GII.in they have it custom meta tags and it is now kind of standard of having custom meta tags on listing i am not even optimizing keyword directorycontest.com for listing i am optimizing for category instead .At this point no directory can come up on top without links even if it's very strong directory.
