    pass7.dizinc.com/~spyboy/scripts/

This person is doing two crime, one related to warez and the other related to google adsense... its really bad!

I'd say the guy is a bit of a hack. I mean if you are gonna cheat, you could at least code the page such that it actually did what it says. He claims that you cannot download unless you do one and two first. If you are using say, Safari, and have Popup blockers on, you just click, one then two then download. With Firefox, you will get the popup, but you do not have to actually click on an add to activate step two.

I'm not really sure there is anyway to control that, but my guess is, cheat or not, I highly doubt there are gonna be many takers. This reminds me of the sucker deals and porno crap that ask you to click on the 3rd bannner, then sign up for an offer, give a valid email address, then reverse the letters of the third to last word in the second sentence of the email you receive. Once you have that you can use that as a password to get more free stuff or porn.

People get more and more inventive every day with this type of crap. If 1/2 the energy that went into coding this page was put into simply placing some adsense adds or adlinks on the page itself, it might actually return something valid.

Sadly some people really do not know that they are doing anything wrong. How many people actually read the TOS? Sure it is quite obvious to many of us that this is wrong, but there are many out there that hear how wonderful AdSense is, sign up for an account and just start doing it. Like I have said in the past, it is not like there is a prequalification or interview process for AdSense. It's sign up and go. So yes, there are people out there that really think they are doing nothing wrong. Seriously!

Don't do the cheater a favor by providing a live link from DP to his/her site. I am hoping you will edit your original post and break up the URL in some way.

    I think it's a 24 hour limit, after that you can't edit.

But you can contact a moderator and ask them to edit it for you.

I just got this rep-reply in response to trying to help out with an email address for reporting adsense-fraud:

Allthough I don't feel the need to argue wether or not, and to what extend I actually am stupid (I generally leave that to my wife and especially my 4-year-old son), I must say that I fail to see the need to play this kind of "I'm-more-bad-ass-than-you" game...

SHT, what is your problem? I supplie the address that Google wants you to use. Accept that, be a man about it and stop acting like a teenage wanker

PS: I don't care about the rep game that much, but if I give SHT neg-rep at some point, I'll let him know

It might not have been SHT though.

    See this thread - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=18163

I think someone is looking to start fights between people by posing as them and giving bad rep.

It would seem strange and out of character for SHT to give that kind of rep and sign their name.

Actually, it definately hasn't him/her. Your feedback shows it was left this morning.

SHT hasn't even logged in since yesterday according to his/her profile.

    Whoa,

I´d say that was almost definately not SHT. Did the rep result in a blue/grey rep instead of a red? Whoever the Hijack Cowboy is, Miko´s reaction is just the kind he´s looking for.

Maybe this is AC´s revenge for not listening to his warnings about the abuse of the rep system.

Except MODS could see who actually left the rep and imitating someone would most likely end up in a ban if it continued.

Imitating another member is a lot more serious than the actual giving of rep IMHO.

    Just ask yfs2 ;)

Yes, I agree. This mischief seems aimed at causing hurt feelings and fights amongst members. Quite malicious. I´d support a ban of the culprit.

    WTF is going on?

miko67, it certainly wasn't me as already pointed out, I haven't had time to give you bad rep. Anyway, that was a good reply you gave. Thanks! I will accept it :p

Anyways, back to Google's AdSense people (or GAS as I will now call it and you will all too)

Don't worry about these cheaters to much, Google is pretty much aware of them. Some are taken off the program immediately and others are followed for weeks or even months to collect evidence and possible connection to others.
Most are likely put on an adsense account that shows results, but doesn't bill adword customers. Hope, thats a good guess ...

Anyway, it's allright and good to report them but I think those who are clearly found by a basic search,- Goolge has found them before and they just follow up for a while, even putting their payment on hold so that they have enough time to gather more evidence.

There are more dangerous cheaters around like as one has mentioned using IP changing programs and they are harder to dedect. Would be nice to get more of those kind of cheaters, cause they are the ones who really hurt.
