Well if the bullying is warranted that's one thing, but if the victim is innocent, then I suppose I try to be protective. I tried that in a sales thread here and got a red rep, won't be doing that again. I have a caring nature, I am the complete opposite of my sister. She ruined me!!
I don't hate the people who picked on me, but I sure won't back down to the fools anymore. BTW it has been 16 years since I graduated, but I learned some lessons in being bullied. I now longer allow someone to intimidate me by size, strength or numbers. I hold my ground. That alone usually will make them back off right away. If a country that small with so many enemies only because of religious beliefs, has to protect itself, I am right behind them. Not only that, their enemies have stated that I am an enemy also due to the country I live in. I will fight back and not let them terrorize me or my family.
I hope nobody bullies your daughter. It can really have a negative effect on one's life. My mother saw it happening and didn't do a thing to stop it.
Where do you get this BS from? Non-believers mean people who do not believe in GOD, people like me. If some one should complain is me and not you. All the major religions are accepted and protected in Islam. What you are saying is just urban myth that is being repeated by people who are too lazy to read or can't read. "There is no compulsion in religion." (The Qur'an 2:256) "Surely they that believe, and those of Jewry, and the Christians, and those Sabaeans, whoso believes in God and the Last Day, and works righteousness their wage awaits them with their Lord, and no fear shall be on them, neither shall they sorrow." (Q. 2:62) "Surely they that believe, and those of Jewry, and the Sabaeans, and those of the Christians, whosoever believes in God and the Last Day, and works righteousness no fear shall be on them, neither shall they sorrow." (Q. 5:69) "To you your religion, and to me my religion." (Q. 109:6) If nothing else, try to learn this, non-believers = People who do not believe in GOD.
Blah Blah Blah. Try and go there with a bible and see what happens! Bible readers believe in god, but the wrong god. Nice try though, shows passion.
religions of the BOOK. Hinduism, Buddism are not accepted right? Judaism, christainity and islam are all based on the same things.. the only real difference being when each one believes the last prophet arrived.
You are right. The religions of the book are protected. It seems Islam accepts all the religion that believe in one GOD, while Buddism has no GOD and Hinduism has multi GODS. There is also Zoroastrian that sees the world as constant struggle between good and bad but the out come of struggle is not defined. While the above religion are not accepted as the religions with book, historically all the above religion have been accepted in different Arab countries. While Judaism and Islam are very similar and have many similar roots and traditions, Christianity differers since it is influenced by Mithraism the old Persian religion. The Mithra's birth day (God of sun) was shifted from 21st of Dec. to 25th because of some counting errors in leap years and pope Leo after destroying Mitra's temple in 376 AD, declared 25th as Christ birthday. for more information you can look at Carl Jung (Swiss psychiatrist) fifth volume of collected work, symbols of transformation. It can be also of interest to know that there are over 30 large churches in Tehran, the capital of Iran.
Hinduism has 1 God in many forms, but if its not listed it doesnt count huh? Can you really believe that most of the world is wrong ? (Chinese + Indians) A muslim has to.. although much of the western world seems to think that muslims are there to convert them or die. - Once again blame the media I guess. Also, Islamic state, Islam, Sharia law are very different things.. which most people are not clear on. Perhaps there should be a "Religion for dummies range" - make things easy on the rest of us
Sorry, your idea does not work since I don't think most of them ever read a book, may be some short Sunday morning cartoons about religion can teach them.
who is 'them' ? I'm not religious at all.. but id rather read a dummies version than try and plough through all the original books
Same as they do now with all the terrorists.. If it doesnt involve us dont bother us. Same as they do about the mass murders in Africa.. Nothing.
By them I meant people who just keep repeating the fox news and latest government press release without trying to check any of the facts. I read all the books when I was in my 20's, young and eager to learn, so I (in my 40's) can agree with you that reading the originals when you are older is not a very tempting suggestion. The joke here is that I as atheist ends up defending different religious rights in this thread.
Lol smart kid you got there, Mikey! I was always the bullier. (but I doubt many of you will be suprised about that) But I have now seen the error of my ways. I'd rather be the bullier than get bullied, though tbh. My lil brother got bullied for like a day until I squared up to the guy and ended up becoming his girlfriend and then told everyone he was shit in bed. And no girl would go near him. ah revenge is sweeeeeeeet.
