Backlinks went up for me too. Not that much an increase though, I still have many time more on MSN and Yahoo.
I posted this on one of the other threads. G has my site on the G rollercoaster for the last two days. The red and green from k/w's going up and down is nauseating.
Backlinks and PR updated for some of my more established sites but my newer ones nothing changed. I have seen an overall ranking increase of most of my sites which leads me to think that they are easing the off on the sandbox.
For me bls have remained stable, PR reverted back to old values a few times in the last few days. I am now seeing the most recent PR values with changes . For some reason I was awarded PR 5 on 1000's new pages several levels deep on last PR update. I have never seen this before Now they have changed ALL of them to a more realistic value PR2
just found this tool to check your site on google http://www.seogeeks.com/tools/website-analysis/index.php is shows GLs = Number of links shown using link:someurl on Google. YLs = Number of links shown using linkdomain:somedomain on Yahoo! Note: Yahoo links are for the whole domain, not just a particular web page. PR = Pagerank from Google GPs = Number of pages shown using site:somedomain on Google.
For me, BLs went from 159 to 274. But the ones displayed are still mostly junk links... forum sigs and powerlinks. That's ok, I'll take 'em just to frustrate my competitors.
As somebody else suggested recently, it's probably best to just ignore all the jiggling until it stops.
My site went up 46% to 248. Yahoo sees 27200 BL and Google 248. But got an increase so I won't complain After months following advices from "gurus" without real success, it's now happening because of this forum - thanks to all .
I've just picked up 478 backlinks (up from 0) for my site...!! Also started picking up traffic from directory.google.com, although I'm not listed in the category the referrers are coming from, yet...weird!
My backlinks were still fluctuating today, for the URLs I actively promote on my site, from 262 total to 710 total. I wish Google had a linkdomain command, it would make life easier.
