I hate the political forum  It's infested with stupid threads like these. It always starts of as a debate, or not as the case my be, then soon enough it turns into a huge argument. They're not productive and no one ever learns anything because both sides are equally ignorant. why 'o why can't we all get a long now... On a diplomatic level, Islam is accepted, I mean, how is it not? You don't see segregations such as a set of "Muslim" seats at the back of a bus or anything. However, the Sharia law or what not, which calls for an Islamic establishment globally (right?), can't and won't ever be accepted by us infidels.

Let’s discuss something more intellectual, instead of name calling, racism and stereotyping...

Remember: "The ink is black.. the page is white... together we learn to read and write ... " :)

    P.S. Hello Arnie :)

That's quite interesting actually :) Rats biting during sleep, (I know it was a metaphor but..) is that because they think you're dead? :D

Brum, I couldn't agree with you more. The films I have seen, however, very much go to a culture that enshrines the abominable treatment of women. This treatment goes to a much broader problem, I believe. Furthermore, from what I have read, there is no scriptural support for such evil.

    Question asked, and unanswered.

    Nicely put northpointaiki.

I think I might make a new thread in this forum ... I'm thinking: "A free e-hug regardless of your race, colour or creed" :D

and while they bite they blow cold air into the wound (soothing), so that you don't realize while sleeping.
When you wake up it's to late...

What's the too late bit about? I think you'd be OK as long as it didn't have rabies or AIDs or anything :D

I'll be glad to donate the first hug. Bring me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free. Oh, wait, that's been taken.

Well, provided the creed is not theocratic beating or murder.;), I'd be glad to embrace all comers.

You know, I had a professor once at Berkeley, specialist in Middle Eastern politics. As left as they come, a profound influence on me. Opened my eyes to a part of the world I knew nothing about, and to our absolute ignorance of muslim culture generally.

This guy was married to an Egyptian woman. Told us once in class of how he once got beaten so badly by the "moral police" in Egypt that he nearly died. The reason?

He was in the home of an Egyptian woman, unattended.

    His wife.

The police later "apologized," not realizing he was married to her. But such a "moral" jurisprudence exists. Even in Egypt, with an ancient, astonishing past, a current constitution:

    and

Such "moral enforcement" comes at the end of a beating stick. I am under no illusion that we in the West have been historically free from this. But nowhere but in the Islamic theocracies of today do I see such legal enshrinement of "moral exactitude."

I'm sorry. I have the film but will not post it here. It is painful enough to see, it's widely available (look up the RAWA site, for one) and if you don't know of the truth of this, you can't be helped.

Seed it or something. You can do that, can't you? I will not go to RAWA. That foul site is not worth my time.

So let me see what has happened thus far:

    1. Blogmaster has yet to come up with some evidence for his bombs.
    2. Arnie is backtracking with his diversions and has still has not provided evidence for his claim that women in Islam are oppressed, or that women in Malaysia are being treated like the Saudis.
    3. I am still waiting for the alleged video containing Taliban atrocities.

    Not a bad roundup, methinks.

Seed it or something? Not sure what you mean?

Please tell me - why is RAWA foul? (though not myself, I'm sure many here would agree. It is a socialist, revolutionary organization) - but please tell me why you consider it foul?

There is nothing ideological - nothing socialist or revolutionary about a video of a woman being shot like a dog before hundreds of cheering men. Or beaten on the streets of Kabul for walking alone. These are just blatant, disgusting facts.

Never heard of Bittorrent? I am asking you for a seeding. And there are many services available to host your seed file.

Because they are a couple of byotches who have nothing better to do apart from wasting other peoples' time.
