Yahoo! Directory and DMOZ drop to PR8.

Looks like http://dir.yahoo.com/ is going to go from PR9 to PR8 this update. Seems strange that such a great directory (and very old) would drop in PR. I noticed in another thread that DMOZ dropped from 9 to 8 as well. As a directory owner, I get a bit worried to see the two standard-bearers of the industry dropping in rank. Oh well, just a little observation/rant. :)

Well, seeing the yahoo directory is definately something of concern. However, seeing DMOZ drop is pretty enlightening.

I mean we have some really great directories nowadays to really look forward to.
in no particular order, but lets start off with these: HexDex :: Qettle :: UnaDir :: Port Prophecy

    :p

I agree, lets give a chance to DP members directories to reach there and not the same Dmoz and yahoo to be at top ;)

Because the web is much bigger than it used to be. It takes a lot more links to reach the same PR, compared to the way it was at the last update.
