How important is links building......

I think google is giivng more importance to links from content.


Link building helps in yahoo and msn

I am looking for some incisive clues for cracking into top rankings on google.

Its all because of link building. (though in this example links are granted )

 

i start to see how important links building is. What i learnt lately was tens of thousands of normal links will help yahoo and msn ranking, whereas high-PR pages help google ranking.

Am i correct?

 

Let's not put google bombing in the same category with quality link building..

 

You're right about MSN and Yahoo, you still need vast amounts of links to rank in those two.
Concerning Google links: not necessarily links from high PR pages, but links from trusted (by Google) quality sites with a related topic get you ranked higher. A PR5 link from a site on the same topic might be worth more than a PR7 link on a completely different topic, though the latter WILL have some value

 

While linking (hypertextual) plays an important role, websites that rank well in Google depend upon a synergy of multiple elements working in concert together. Basically, you could describe this relationship as holistic in nature.

link building is a great way to go about getting to the top of google plus have an new column it gets more and different key word for you site.

 

I fail to understand the meaning of this comment.

 

There are two heavy hitters for getting the best rankings.

1. On page optimization. Content(copy) is beginning to weigh heavier and heavier as the black hats continue to try and fake it. Can't fake good content. You can copy it, steal it, buy it but you can't fake it. Also it needs to change frequently as well. New content is like "The NEWS"

2. Off page optimization. Do other (highly regarded) sites think you are POPULAR enough to vote for by including a link to your site? The online world is very much like the social world for people. It's "who" you know not necessarily "what" you know. You can have the absolute best content hands down, but if no one of importance is linking to it your site will die a slow and painful death.

So to sum it up, what is important online is like what is important in other media channels. Turn on the TV and what will you see "POPULAR people in the NEWS"

 

Of course Google sees it like the old "Gold Rush" days of the west.

While we are all prospectors online, Google thrives by selling us the "picks and shovels".

 

google will count only revelant links and they must come slowly not all at time

 

It takes a lot of things to rank well, but I still find that inbound links with good anchor text are a must.
