    hello everyone,

like many of you all, I have suffered the problem of payment reversal. I called them up via skype...The number is +18882211161...It's free...

Luckily the amount of reversal was just $7. I spoke to the accounts security department.

They looked up into my profile and said there was a brief note from their frauds check Department...which said my client made a fradulant payment and that the sender was either using someone elses account or a fake credit card.

Well this is what they told me. When asked if it was a bug or a technical glitch...they said they are not aware of what's happening to the Indian accounts and they are not informed about the situation at all.....

I think we all need to call them and inform them, as the reason for reserval up their site says "fradulant payment" and nothing else...

Can Paypal explain why the payments from big and reputed companies like TLA and Infolinks are termed as fraudulent?

And, moreover, what has happened suddenly that all "Indian" users are on the receiving end of the avalanche of so called "fraudulent payments"

I assume the reversal faced by OP is different and can be a case of a genuine fraudulent payment and hence there is no need for everybody else to think of their reversals to be of the same nature!

Paypal has clearly instructed the cause to be 'transaction mode' problem and so it would be wise to let sanity prevail and then request back our clients to pay us up.

    Regards,

Yes, that's what I wanted to clear. This was my case. But this may not be the same for everyone..

But what I would really be interested to know is...Has anyone got their reversed payment back again??

did anyone get a response from paypal of it being a technical glitch when asked for an explanation??

Well, I see people are having a problem with withdrawals as well. I did withdraw xyz $'s on 27th Feb 1:00am. I got it in my account within 2 days. Unfortunately there are many more who have transfered on the same date but still pending...

I think it's a big technical glitch which they wouldn't agree to.. after all their rep is at stake...

    Hello ******

Your payment of --.-- has been sent back to the sender of the payment.

We reversed this payment because we have stopped allowing personal payments to be sent to or from India.

If this was a payment for a purchase of goods or services, and not a personal payment, then you may contact the buyer and have him or her resend the payment as follows: (a) click the Send Money tab, (b) select "Goods," and (c) provide a shipping address.

If this payment was a personal payment such as a gift, then we have requested that the sender find another payment method until we restore personal payments to and from India.

We are trying to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and we're sorry for any inconvenience.

    Thank you,
    PayPal
