Hi to everyone from around the world! I am looking for a design that is clean and simple for the buisness name listed at this page: link The logo is for a website that displays information for local businesses (a business directory). The goal of the website is to have the community support local businesses by using their services and products. A brandable icon/graphic should be included in the design that can be resized (and legible) at 16x16 (for a favicon). The winner will deliver: 1) original vector file (.ai and .psd)-- (winner to send original layered files and fonts) 2) web formats: .gif & .jpg 3) Favicon (.ico)of the brandable graphic/icon in both sizes: 32x32 and 16x16. C ontest ends January 15, 2010 @ 5:00 GMT (0) unless you and I are still trying to finalize entries. Please do not use the name of the website/buisness name in your replies or in your filename when saving your submission(s). I will pay via paypal. I'll provide feedback frequently. Thanks and enjoy!
Here's a concept idea Clean / simple / flexible / corporate / & works well at small sizes Feedback Appreciated
gipanuhotko, I like the font choice but the icon still isn't quite working for me. I think it is a little too busy/complicated. masjacky, the icon doesn't clearly convey the goal of the website. Thank you.
MantisArt, your icon is clear but I'm not completely sold on it. I'll think about it though. HerDish, the icon doesn't quite fit with the theme of the business/website. Thank you.
gipanuhotko and .koa, I think the most difficult part of this design might be the icon. Let's try to think of an icon that represents support or supporting. Also, let's not use an "N" or the name of the city in the icon. It will be nice if I can use the icon for other cities in the future. So it will be important to have an icon that represents support but not necessarily the city. Thank you all.
MantisArt, nayirpro, umxca, and stellah57: I think we are starting to move in the right direction for an icon but we're not quite there yet. Some things that come to mind, for me, when I think of support are: bridge suspension, arches, steps, chain links, blocks... I certainly don't think those are the only things that remind me of support. I am definitely open to your continued creativity. Another thing to maybe consider is finding a way to have the word "support" actually 'support' the name of the city. Thanks again artists.
