I just saw several vendor, they achieve 100+ gravity in one day. How can they do that? I think it is impossible to have 100+ affiliates in one day. The only possible is that 100+ affiliate buy the product through its own link. what do you think?
It's pretty much only for internet marketing products, and yes, it's all down to people buying through their own link.
Yes you may be right, but its possible. By using some bookmarking sites you can get this and there are some website who provide immediate link for reciprocal links.
okay you guys - good guesses but it's actually done with something called "magic". search for it on Google or YouTube... it'll blow your mind.
Yes I Did that couple of Time for example if you have offer pay 10$ and yoy just work hard a day to get 10 Leads here is easy $100 and so on do the Math
It's actually quite common for this to happen. Some vendors employ the services of "launch consultants" (either when the product's new, or just as a "re-launch" to try to boost the sales). Because so many affiliates believe (totally wrongly!) that there's some sort of correlation between gravity and sales numbers, the main thing vendors have to do to bring in new affiliates is just to have a high gravity. It's simply a self-perpetuating trick: gravity attracts affiliates and affiliates produce gravity. For this reason, one of the main services provided by "launch consultants" is boosting the gravity. Which is very easy. All you need is a large number of affiliate accounts standing by (it's not as if they cost anything, you know?), and they make one sale each, by arrangement, either privately refunded or by changing the price for them. There are many ways of "massaging" gravity figures. As long as affiliates carry on believing that it's a good idea to promote high gravity products, people will carry on doing that. The first 100 in the gravity figure can be "artificial", but after that gullible, newbie affiliates who know no better will flock in, however terrible the sales figures, however bad the sales page conversion-rate, and eventually, of course, they'll make one or two sales each just by persistence. That will take the gravity up to 300. Then many will drop out because the sales page hardly converts at all, but 200 new affiliates will still be attracted in after that because they've all bought e-books advising them only to promote stuff with a gravity over 100! A lot of people mistakenly imagine that high gravity is evidence of high sales - it's as simple as that, really. And that incentivizes vendors to raise their gravity figure even if they have pay someone to do it. Here's a specific example:- Clickbank Product A - Sales-page conversion-rate 2.8% - Solid product from well-known marketer - Product has almost no refund requests - He has 20 affiliates of whom 10 are superaffiliates who sell huge numbers of the product - Product is easy to promote and sell - Gravity figure is obviously on the low side because there aren't many affiliates and that's what gravity actually measures Clickbank Product B - Sales-page conversion-rate 0.2% - Crappy product from scammy marketer - Refund request-rate is higher, of course - Product had a "professional launch" with 100 "temporary affiliates" (accounts used once each to buy one product, privately refunded, and/or the figures were massaged in one of the other "customary ways") - Product is obviously a complete and utter nightmare to promote and sell because the sales-page doesn't convert well - Gravity figure starts out at about 110, and rapidly rises to 150/200 because gullible affiliates are attracted by the gravity figure, believing wrongly that it "validates the fact that the product is selling very well", and they all struggle and waste time/money, but eventually they obviously make 1 or 2 sales each anyway, and for this reason the gravity figure rises still further to 250/300 as the inevitable consequence of its self-fulfilling prophecy for the naive. Of course, product B is the "high-gravity product", so it's the one that attracts gullible affiliates. Meanwhile, product A is the one from which affiliates can actually earn a living. This isn't a contrived or unusual example. It's a very representative one. (Now - how long will it be before the vendor of a high gravity product very predictably appears in this thread to tell me I've "got it all wrong"?! Sometimes they don't like it when the truth emerges! )
Alexa, your answers are extremely thorough and helpful. Wasn't my question but earned a lot in the process...Thank you
This happens with mostly with internet marketing products, all the affiliates are buying with their own link, thus the gravity rises rapidly. However, after a short period of time, the gravity stops dropping like a rock. So, for those products, the high gravity isn't really an accurate measure of how well the product converts. On the other hand, if there is a product that has a steady high gravity, meaning it keeps the gravity over a steady period of time, it can possibly mean that the product is profitable for the affiliates that are promoting it.
Still, that doesn't answer the ultimate question... HOW can someone build a good Gravity through normal means? Okay, maybe I should rephrase that... How can someone build a good gravity through normal means and not spend months and months doing it (assuming it is a good product) As Alexa_S pointed out, it's hard to beat the guys doing differently...
If it the magicbot thinggy... they have a squeeze page that does not work. Tried it with 2 em addresses. Any link to where I could read about what it does??? Thanks (if that's not it, let me know)
Well, This happens mostly for niche products. Look at Earth4energy, it has a huge natural 'non-inflated' gravity, the product built the gravity over time. The market is big, the affiliates find it profitable, and more and more affiliates join in, because the market is big, and the product is profitable. Hence, the high gravity. This specific product has kept its gravity for a long time, and has maintained the high gravity, which most possibly, means that there are a large number of affiliates making consistent sales for the product, and that the product sells, meaning it's successful and profitable. A natural high gravity mostly happens for niche products which are not in the 'Make money online' niche. These products usually don't have a very rapid gravity growth, but have a steady gradual growth of gravity over a few months, and eventually reach a high gravity. The sales are generated by affiliates promoting the product, whereas with 'Make Money Online' products, the affiliates themselves are buying the product with their own hoplink, hence, inflating the product gravity which results in a rapid gravity rise. If the affiliates don't make consistent sales, the gravity drops, which explains why the make money online products after a few weeks with high gravity, have a huge drop of gravity. To answer your question, in order to build a gravity through normal means, you need a: -You'd need to make a product for a Fairly Big Profitable (Niche) Market -Well converting sales page and a good product for the customers -Being able to properly get the product out there, so that the affiliates start promoting.
Thanks for taking the time Ripped... I still have a question though: How can you break through the Catch 22 thing... If you don't have high gravity you don't really get enough affiliates to make sales.... If you don't get enough affiliates to have sales you don't get high gravity. All would work fine with the 'keep you head down and concentrate on the work' routine if clickbank didn't wipe the slate clean after 8 weeks for gravity results (at least that's how I understand gravity is calculated). So there is a TIPPING POINT, whereby you must reach a certain gravity to start attracting affiliates within 8 weeks.... Or so it seems to me. If you don't reach that Tipping Point within a 8 week period you'll usually end up just trolling on the bottom... which is where most CB products unfortunately end up. Sidenote: I did promote earth4energy for a while... sent them about 600 highly targeted clicks... go zero, zip, zilch, nada... Too bad because I really liked their highly customizable pages (you can set them up any way you want).... Oddly enough I tried homegrownenergy for about the same amount of clicks and got 3 sales (1 with upsale).
Well.. the 8 week period is a good thing. So if the vendor had a high gravity, and if it didn't really sell that well, the affiliates would just abandon, and over time, after those 8 weeks, they will lose gravity. Thus, it will help you point out the products which have a natural gravity (they will maintain their gravity with some fluctuations), while the ones with inflated gravity will drop like a rock. As far as Earth4energy is concerned. I've had a great time promoting it as an affiliate, and it has converted really well. So maybe it's something with your promotion. Either way, if you found something that worked better for you, than go with it, go with whatever works better for you. The huge gravity of Earth4energy which has been steady at a top for quite a while, indicates that the product is profitable, and that tons of affiliates are having a good time promoting it.
I know I'd love it if my CB product had a gravity of 100...maybe it could with the help of you guys. =)
Just a polite nudge for you brother/sister. I just finished reading about 10 threads where you either blatantly promote your sig/aff recruitment/hi-jack threads or you do it subtly like this. Once in a while is cool, or I just happened to hit a random string of just yours, not going to go through your history but you might want to... Have you made an official recruitment thread? Update your program and update your thread = more affiliates. </trying to be polite - This is an awesome thread by the way guys! too bad mods don't sticky stuff here, it's been dissected before in many ways too, alexa you are awesome and wise with your words/experience and transparancy btw - Ripped, well you know how I feel about you mate ...> 5Stars added. Great post Alexa, bumping this back up because it is so true and more people need to read this. Would it be possible to copy this on to my blog as an article giving you the credit?
