Google is de-listing me!!!!

    Google is de-listing me:
    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site:www.sensiblesoftware.com

    My rankings are dropping:
    http://www.sensiblesoftware.com/files/keywords.jpg

And I have no idea why!!! As I posted on here last week, Googlebot and even the Adsense bot has stopped visiting all of my sites! http://www.nesfiles.com/ doesn't appear to be displaying Adsense ads much at all anymore(due to no MediaPartners data, I'm assuming). I've sent a couple Emails to different addresses at Google, and I'm working on changing ISPs just in case my ISP is blocking Google's IPs(I suspect this, though I really don't know for certain; they do deny it, but we know how that goes). What else can I do? I've worked so hard on all my sites, and I see it all slipping away all of a sudden-- not just one site, but 3:

    http://www.sensiblesoftware.com/
    http://www.nesfiles.com/
    http://www.freetrialdownloads.com/

Anyone have any ideas on what I can do? Thanks.

Did you check the ranks manually? I have seen drops randomly and they come back.

But I must say.....that does not look very good at all. I would definitely look into some cause of this. PS - where do you host your accounts? Can it be a server issue?

I have dedicated servers at ValueWeb(http://www.valueweb.com/). I'm moving these over to ServerMatrix(http://www.servermatrix.com/) as soon as they fulfill my order placed yesterday(I'm in online chat checking on the status as I type this). I've checked the server up and down for anything that could block Google, and there's nothing. Nothing changed around the time Googlebot went AWOL(3/1 or so).

The pages that those things ranked on are no longer indexed, hence the big blob of red. I still rank for 'network monitoring software'(my #1 phrase), but it's partially indexed, so I'll get very few clicks-- and i'm fairly certain that'll probably be dumped sometime today or tomorrow...

I just really wish I knew WHY, or had ways to figure out WHY. I wish I could test for an IP ban/block at my ISP or something... This is incredibly frustrating-- I'm completely powerless to do anything about this, it seems.

Same thing happened to my site, try site:www.ki4bbo.org -- all the descriptions and titles are gone.

I added more ads on one of my pages (coop ads) and my weight almost doubled.. I am thinking the coop might have something to do with it.

    See the top result here:

    http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=site:www.sensiblesoftware.com&btnG=Search&meta=

Not your site. Possibly hijacked or indeed server issues...

302! There's (part of) your problem.

That's been out there a while-- some download site that doesn't know how to properly redirect a link. I have other sites that aren't being visited by GoogleBot and I suspect will be delisted shortly as well, and they have no 302 links directed at them like this...

I actually removed the coop ads to see if maybe that could help. I got 3 lone hits last night from GoogleBot for my default.asp page, and that's it. Maybe it was checking to see if the coop was still there... I suspect other sites would be seeing more of this if it was, indeed, the coop...

To try to see if you are blocked; ssh into your server and do a traceroute google.com or lynx google.com, directly from the server your domains are hosted on. If you don't hit google; you're blocked. Try with a few of their ip addresses.

I've had the same as Josh, a lot of my site as indexed by google has no descriptions of each page. Web traffic dived after Christmas, about the same time as my hosting went down for 3 days. it 'went down again in Jan for 3 days. Your comments make me wander if this phenomenon is caused by crap hosting servers?!

Well, that tests for a block going that way, but it's more typical to have inbound filters rather than inbound and outbound or just outbound... I did try it, though, and I can ping google from my server. Ping isn't a great test, though-- I'd have to somehow get a connection from google's IP's to my port 80, as that's what is most likely blocked(specifically)...

I run my own network monitor below to monitor my servers at ValueWeb, and they've been pretty reliable. Occassionally I'll see about 2min downtime in the middle of the night once in a while, but generally the servers are always accessible and functioning normally...

ValueWeb **did** recently start a new business venture for SEO and 'web marketing', and I got to wondering the other day if maybe they were doing blackhat SEO and getting their entire IP block banned by Google, but my employer at my dayjob has a server there, and I checked the logs-- that site is still getting crawled regularly...

I'm at a loss... Trying to think logically, but doesn't seem to be working-- unless Google has explicitly banned all my sites for some reason... Banned from MediaPartners bot, too(but no Adsense termination Email)!

Since March 1st google has been dropping pages on a daily basis from two of our sites. After checking for every possible reason this could be happening we called valueweb (who hosts the two sites). They denied any issue. I had referred valueweb to a few others so I decided to see how they were doing. After speaking with them we realized that the only sites that were being affected were those hosted by valueweb. No other site, at least that we own, is having the issue. We are now in the process of moving to another server, I'm hoping it will solve the issue. I will post the results within the next few days.

It helped for me. ValueWeb also fessed up to it late this week. You have to get your call escalated and insist it was a problem for them to fess up, tho... I just finished my move, so I'll be doing some final clean-up on the servers, and cancelling my accounts today. BTW, I highly recommend Server Matrix. They're lightyears ahead on customer support, network infrastructure, etc.

Moving to another servers din't work at all for me. I have over 20 sites dropped from the index. I have tested everything to see what's wrong. Just one test worked - I have changed everything (all content) for one site, and it wass up on Google in 3 days and now is cached every day, but site's pages started to drop from index again. What I think here, duplicates filter is working here. If you use wide-spreed free-to-distribute articles, or things like lyrics database, you'll be out pretty shortly.

My problem was most certainly the Googlebot not visiting. It's visiting now, though it's slow to re-index... Some of my pages are re-indexed, but most remain partially indexed... I guess I'll be waiting at least a week or two before recovering to previous levels... Makes me want to press legal action against ValueWeb-- I have lost real significant revenue over this.
