Multiple Clicks from the same IP

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to all this and I just had a quick question

What if multiple people at a college or business etc went onto your site and a few of them clicked the ads.

This is perfectly realistic because kids always go on the same sites when they are on the internet together.

Would my adsense account be banned if say 3 or 4 of them ended up clicking on a banner because they would all have the same ip

ps. i'm not talking about me telling them to go on the site, just a random group of people

 

Depends on Google's other criteria, those which are largely unknown to the outside world. If those IPs make up the bulk of the total, chances are you're out soon. If they are a fraction, and the rest are OK, it's less of an issue.

You could write a simple script, or use PHPAdsNew to avoid this problem altogether.

 

Maybe you would not be banned but the clicks may be discounted.

 

Possibly, that would be a better solution than getting banned.

Google could do a three strikes type of thing, where you don't get paid for multiple users but if it keeps happening they will then ban you

 

1st the clicks will get uncounted but if the IP give more clicks and keep on giving it will better that you mail google to verify that you are not clicking the ads.
