$50 business logo contest for AssetWise. You know you can win this baby!!!

Hey there you creative geniuses... I need your help.

$55 contest over 3-5 days.

We’re doing some re-branding and need a logo for the new company name, AssetWise and a stylish business card design.

Logo needs to include the tagline and I quite like the idea of the web address being part of the logo. In other words AssetWise.co.nz (it’s not a .com)

The company Tagline looks like it will be ‘Sorting everything so you don’t have to!’

So…We will need the tagline with the logo and maybe .co.nz incorporated into it.

We will be creating a website soon and obviously business cards and Letterheads. So it needs to work in both print and web.

Funky and with a bit of depth might be cool, and I like blue and orange, but quite frankly I'm open to any colours so don’t get hung up on them.

I think I would prefer a clean/clear background rather than a logo with a solid colour, because if it needs a cououred background it results in the logo always needing to be 'boxed' in order to get the effect (hope that made sense)

I think I would like some sort of logo/icon beside or above (or where-ever) with the word AssetWise, but I dont mind if the words themselves become the 'logo'.

We are an upbeat progressive business in financial services & property, with fairly young staff compared to most in this industry, but the topics we deal with are basically dull as crap and are reasonably serious in nature. So although we wish to look young and progressive, we must still appear professional and solid as well.

There are several parts to the business, which helps people to "build wealth, reduce their tax, pay of their home faster and protect and grow their assets. So the 4 parts to our business are Insurance, mortgages, Property & investments.

Guess this should run for 3-5 days, but I’ll keep everyone posted. If we run with your logo we’ll paypal the $.

Here is my entry. It took me a little longer that expected but once it started coming together I really liked it. I hope you like it too.

Ok.. 9.30am here on Saturday morning so I can only give a quick reply as Im out for most of the day to squeeze in some fun dady time with the 3 of them. (Aged 1, 3 & 6... so its busy here )

Thanks for the design. Unfortunately it doesn't really grab me. With so may companies in financial planning I dont really think the logo will stand out in a memorable or easily recognisable way.
The font makes it look a bit cluttered and heavy, and the colour is a bit drab (we need to avoid drab )
There may be potential for something with the AW, but that AW 'logo pic' is a bit too conservative.

I didnt expect such a good design so early on. Nice job.
Im not sure if the black colour of 'Wise' and the Tagline is quite right though. But then again it could be the crap screen I have at home .
I like the logo symbol and they way it can probably be integrated into backgrounds on letterheads, websites etc. Nice job.

Creadiv, I wondered how the logo pic might also work if it had 4 sections to it, to symbolise the 4 areas we deal with. But still with only one of them being separated from the 'circle'.



But for anyone else considering posting their design, dont let my comments on the above lead you in a similar direction. Variety in choices in the key here

I still like the idea of the AW letters as part of the logo as well

And...

If going the logo picture route, then maybe it could somehow symbolise that we take all the many parts of a persons financial situation and fit them all together and make sure they are integrated into the overall goals and objectives, and that everything is moving in the same direction.

But dont use $ signs

Thanks for the great feedback. I will absolutley tinker with the logo to make the changes that you suggested. Unfortunately I leave in the morning to go visit my brother inlaw in Michigan and won't be back until Monday to do any work so if the contest has ended before then my apologies. But if not I look forward to seeing what I can do for you.

Some excellent designs. I have maybe 4-5 minutes of battery left on this laptop so will be brief. I'll be back online in 10 hours.

Hazard. Liked the wording but the logo pic a bit too sketched looking. Colours a but washed out.

Chemicalinc. :iked the Assetwise style and font. But not the font of the tagline. Not sure on the logo pic either.

Aderain. Nice. Like the logo pic. Not sure on using black for the letter colour though. I would prefer some colour in the fonts. Not sure if the shadow or reflection is working, because if it was on a letterhead it could look almost like the tagline was just misprinted and running out of ink.
Id kind of like to see an option with yours where the orange piece of the puzzle is slightly separated from the rest.

joidiamonds. It has potential, but the pic reminds me a little of a pack of cigarettes with 3 cigs poking out the top…. And we cant go round promoting smoking can we ! But I do see where you were heading and the idea might work if delivered a little differently.

PHPGator. Not really what Im after Im afraid. The font is a bit to traditional and reminds me of my own Times Roman attempt. Logo pic not really me either.

Hope I didn’t mis anyone.

One thing to note. Everyone seems pretty traditional in the font they are using. Nothing inherently wrong with that but I wouldn't mind seeing some more funky or stylish lettering.... provided it is still not too difficult to read
