I am thinking about launch my website building adventures by using a domain that has "gamer" in it. Do you all think this is a good word to include in my domain?

The site would be targeted towards young adults and teens and about video games.

Its proven, if your domain name contains the keyword of your site's nature, you will get much better search rankings. Besides its easier for the people to remember. In other words, the domain name should give a clear picture to the visitors that what your site is all about.

For e.g. ruchie.com and ruchiedomains.com. They both are are related to domain and web solutions. But people will not be able guess that whats ruchie.com is all about, but yes, they will surely guess that ruchiedomains.com is about domain names.

In your case, as you said you will choose a domain name with the keyword gammer, I am 100% confident that you will get best results from it.

All the best friend and hope it helps you.

I did some research on the competition just for the term gamer....51 million pages are competing for it !!! It would be heard to get noticed. If you add another word into the mix like gamer+sites you would get traffic faster. Gamer+sites gets searched by google quite often and the competition is only 11,000.
